Chapter Twelve: Arachnes revival

It's been two weeks since the kishin revived and two weeks since ethans death. Everyone pretty much got themselves together and we all are ok now. Patty sheds a few tears here and there but so do i. Ever since Ethan died chase became more distant and he won't even talk to me. Today Crona, Maka and i are going on a mission and of course chase and soul has to come. We were going to investigate on the golem in the golem city because it's going all haywire and stuff. When we got there soul came over to me and held my hand, chase went and talked with crona and maka.

I don't understand why he is like that, I wonder if he blames me for ethans death. A man named geircko introduced himself. That name seemed so familiar that it was too familiar. He took us to the golem and then it started to go crazy. He then gave his whole speil of 800 years of taking his kids body and blah, blah blah. I made chase transform and i ran at him, he deflected it with his leg that turned out to be a weapon. I grunted and got pissed "listen here old man, get lost because this really hasn't been my month" he gets pissed and looks at me closer. "You little shit, your Arachnes daughter aren't you, come over here and stop fooling around!" "As if, I have a new home and don't ever call that witch my mother" chase sighs and ask if we can kill him now. "We can't chase, you know that, he still has a humans soul!" While I was saying that he transformed into a weapon and the golem weilded him.

Chases p.o.v
She was standing around loly gagging and it was pissing me off. I tell her to move her ass and she does. "You dumb ass geircko almost cut you!" "Sorry chase you try dealing with this asshole" "why are you acting like this chase?" "None of your damn buisness" when i looked at her she began to cry. "Chase, if you hate or blame me for ethans death that's fine, please just talk to me about it ok?" Before I could say anything else she was blasted against the wall by the golem and geircko. "(y/n)!" She got up and said that she was fine. Crona and maka jumped in the fight to help us out a little. As the fight progressed I took the chance to talk to my meister. "(y/n) listen, I've only been distant because every time you look at me, your eyes are sad and i don't blame you for ethans death ok?" She nods her head yes. I was distant because I was figuring out how to protect (y/n) like ethans message said to.

That's when i looked over to the fight and saw maka in souls arm. Crona was barely managing himself. So we jumped in the battle and half way through fighting spiders started to come out of no where and form in front of the golem. I know exactlly who it was. Arachne, I transformed back into a human and stood in front of (y/n). "Sorry this is for your own good" I knock her out and slump her next to maka. I look to soul who still had maka in his arms. Arachne was revived and everyone looked at her confused. I opened my mouth before Arachne could. "Guys this is arachne, witch of spiders and sister to medusa, this is cronas aunt and (y/n) mother" Soul looked at her in disgust. "Yo, chase if that's really (y/n)s mom, why doesn't she have a witches soul and is pure good?" Before I could answer the question arachne did it for me. "That's a simple answer soul eater evans, you see my daughter was born pure and not a witch for some reason she was protected and i hated her for that, but now that I know rage lives in her heart i can manipulate her." That pissed me off. "As if I'd ever let you touch my meister!" She giggles and tells geircko to finish us off.

Before he could Justin came and saved the day he made arachne and geircko retreat and destroyed the golem. He picked maka up and placed her inside of a coffin that was attached to his motor bike. "Yo, chase why is it that our meisters always are the ones to over do it?" I laugh and say no clue. I got on my motorbike and put my meister on my shoulders and soul and cronas on his. Justin got in his and took off, we followed him out and into death city. Seconds later a warp portal appeared and we were at the bottom of the dwma stairs. This is even cooler than the transportation circles we have here in death city. Justin carried maka up the stairs while soul carried (y/n). I had to find a way to protect her heart and mind from the crazy bitch.

At the top kid, liz, patty, blackstar and tsubaki were waiting for us. They asked how the mission went and we told them all about it. Kid grabbed my meister from soul and took off.  I chased after him because I wanna know what he was going to do. "Chase, like I said (y/n) is like a little sister to me, I want to help protect her like you do, loosing ethan took a toll on her mental state anymore news and she might burst like a bubble." I sighed and reluctantly let him carry my meister off to god knows where. I made my way back to the dispensary where liz, patty, soul, Blackstar and tsubaki surrounded maka. I walk over to liz and slip my hand into hers. She smiles and leans on my shoulder. I know patty is still sad because ethan was supposed to do the same thing with her.

Kid came back seconds later and made his way over to us. We all laughed and joked and just had fun. Hours later we all made are our way home except me and soul because we decided to stay there with maka who was now asleep. A few hours later kid came in the room and put (y/n) in the bed next to maka. He left without saying a word to any of us
