Chapter 23

" I've been letting Dominic from the club run the studio. You're kids still come to practice." Dylan said as he handed me the keys.

My studio was in a shopping mall, a few cute shops and a grocery store down the walkway. I took the keys and unlocked the door, I stepped into what I had dreamed of since I was a little girl. My own studio. There were mirrors lining one wall , another wall with lockers and vending machines and to the right of me a door read 'office'.

" are you okay ? " Dylan asked as he gave me a half smile .

" this has always been my dream. " I said tearing up .

Dylan smiled " and you alone made it happen . "

I walked over to the CD player and grabbed a mix cd that was on the floor . I put it in and stood back . I listen to the beat of the music . It was upbeat , had a lot of bass . I thought about what moves I wanted to make and waited to hear the song more . I started bobbing my head and soon I was dancing . I put everything I had into this dance . You'd think I'd with not remembering anything that I'd be lest stressed , wrong . My frustration was my pusher today .

I threw my arms out to the side and twisted my body all the way around . I popped my hips and flipped my hair around . Before I knew it , the music had stopped and I heard clapping .

" whoooa . I haven't seen passion like that in a long time . " Dylan said .

I laughed " I'm back bitch , get used to it " I said sticking my tongue out .

I spent a few hours going over what was in my office . Somethings I understood others were fuzzy . There were payment papers , bills to be paid . There are even application to sign up . The hours I spent in the office I had paid all the bills , got all the payments into the computer and got an email out to everyone that class resumes next Monday .

I laid back in my chair and huffed .

" knock knock " Dylan said as he walked into the office .

" What's up my dude ? " I asked as kicked my feet up onto my desk .

He laughed " the prospect is finishing up the cameras , after we can head out . " he said .

I nodded . " yeah I'm actually getting a headache . I'm ready when you are , let me grab some stuff and we can lock up . " I said.

I grabbed the calendars I had printed out for school scholarships and for composition . I grabbed the files of all my students , and I grabbed my budget book . I packed it all away in my bag and headed out of the office .

" Just in time , prospect just finished up ! Let's get you home . " he said as he lead me outside .

" what about locking up ? " I asked .

" the prospect will handle it . " he said as we headed to his bike .

The ride home wasn't bad , it was only twenty five minutes from the lot .

When we pulled up , no one was around . There were people working in the garage , but no club members were here .

" where is everyone ? " I asked as I jumped off of his bike .

He swung his leg over and stood up . " club charity run . They will be back in an hour or so . " he said .

" alright well I'll wait for Xavier in the back room . I might take a nap . " I said as I headed inside .

I was so ready to get out of the hospital , I had so much energy and now I'm tired than ever . I walked into the back room and dropped my bag on the bed . I looked around and saw a note on the bedside table .

' I'm sorry I'm not here , but I picked up your pain medication before I left . For now just take one pink pill if you're hurting and when infer home I'll give you the rest .

I smiled .

He had even left a water bottle beside the bed . I quickly grabbed one of his shirts and changed . I took some medicine and crawled right into bed . There was no way I was doing anything but sleeping . It wasn't long before darkness took over and I fell into a slumber .

I woke up when I heard screeching tires, and gun shots . I quickly Rolled out of the bed , and fell to the floor . I gave it five minutes after the shots fired before I got up and made my way through the club house . Broken glass everywhere from them shooting the windows out .

I made my way to the lot when I saw a lot full of members . Everyone looked on edge but no one looked as pissed as Xavier and Dylan . I stood and watched , I wasn't sure if anyone noticed my presents .

" This was supposed to be a drop and go , how did we get the flag ? " Xavier asked with a deep voice that sent shivers down my spine .

" they must have bee waiting for us . There was no one there when we went by . " Tommy said .

" Well he met know something , or this is his game . Playing sneak attack , either way we need to watch it . " Xavier said as he got up off his bike and stretched .

" I'll see y'all tomorrow . " he said as he nodded to everyone and they all started randomly talking in groups .

I decided I wasn't going to stand over here looking odd , so I made my way over to Xavier.

" hi " I said as I tapped him in his arm .

He turned around and he instantly smiled .

" Hey beautiful . " he said as he wrapped his arms around me .

I wrapped my arms around him , holding on tight , everything felt right . It felt comfortable . I hid my face into his chest and he laughed .

" Wait are you hurt ? I wasn't even thinking when we came back here . " he said as he quickly spun me around .

I laughed " No I'm fine , stop worrying . I was just asleep when it happened kinda woke me up . "

He smiled down at me " that's why your in nothing but my Tshirt ? " he asked .

My face went red " I completely forgot " .

" baby no one can see anything . " he said wrapping his arms back around me .

I yawned , and hid my face .

" alright , I'm going to go lay back down . " I said as I started to walk away .

" whoa , you wanna go home ? You don't have to stay here . " he said pulling me back .

" mind if we just take it a day at a time ? " I asked .

" That's fine . Go lay down I'll be in there in about five minutes . "

" Before I lay down where is a broom? There is glass from the shooting . "

" Dominic . Get that glass picked up before Rayanne walks inside . " he said pulling me closer .

" on it boss . " Dominic said as he took off into the club house .

I tried to walk off but Xavier had a good grip on me .

" Are you gonna let me go ? " I asked

He laughed " nope . Not until he's out or I go in . "

I rolled my eyes " what is this some old lady claim thingy ? " I asked while looking at him from the side .

" yeah it's something like that . " he said winking at me .

I rolled my eyes and relaxed into his body . I can't remember a time when I was this stress free , no pun intended .
