I stare out of my hotel window. Two planes have arrived within the hour. One is a jet, the other a cargo plane. I assume that was everyone's belongings and animals. We were supposed to be sorted into our camp groups and all that today so the workers knew where to install everything and leave all our belongings. We were to move in for the next 7 months beginning tomorrow morning. Light shined in my face, the heat beating down onto the city, warming it up. The city was ruled by a lone queen, whom was merely 24. I did some walking through town yesterday, with Megan and Danielle. We found a museum. The museum told the story and history of the city in detail. Gruesome, gory, detail. The king and queen, before they had died, were cruel rulers. They stole everything for themselves, leaving the people poor. They had three daughters. The youngest princess took advantage of her parents' cruel ways, taking what she wanted. The middle princess, didn't care much for being a princess, or for her family; she had run away at age 8, and her body was discovered in a forest below the city. The people believed she had plummeted to her death. The eldest, a kind and wise heiress to the throne of the city, couldn't stand the tyranny. She did whatever she could to help the people of her kingdom, even if it meant getting in trouble. She tried to wait out until she was 18, but her parents had begun executing people for no reason at all. This injustice had to be fixed. She quickly grew tired of waiting. She begun a revolution, leading the people into a war at only age 15. The war went on for a year. The young girl had managed to trick her parents into meeting her in private. Little did they know, she was the secret leader of the revolution. She let the families of those who were wrongly executed kill her own family, only to protect the people. It is what was right. For two years, the destroyed kingdom had only a princess. She did what she could. The young scientist gave her ideas to help rebuild the city, and make it new. They soon became a high tech kingdom. The princess's 18th birthday held her coronation to become queen. The kingdom had lived happily since.

I look out into the silver and platinum buildings, with the sun reflecting off of them. I hear footsteps, and a knock at my door. I snap out of my thinking, and open the door. "Noelani?" Will asks.

"Will!" I say, leaping into his arms like a lost kitten finding their owner after days of being lost. He holds me close to him. "How was your flight?" I smile.

"It was... Strange. Cadence and Damien- Aestia's demon - chatted for a while." He says.

"Opal is mean... She's being very overprotective, and nearly killed me!" I shout.

"WHAT? Opal!" He shouts. He calms down a bit, after taking a few deep breaths. "It's okay... You're here now. No wonder Opal and Cadence are friends." He tries to smile a bit. I could tell he was still a tad angry, but I didn't say anything.

"The sorting ceremony is in an hour. We should get ready." I say.

"You're right. I think I packed my suit, hold on. I'll go find my room and get ready." He says, closing the door, and goes off searching for his room.

I dig through my suitcase, which was taken to my hotel room. I find my
ball-gown, and the hoops to make it all poofy. I slip into the strapless red and black dress. I pull the dress up and pull on the slip with the hoops. I let the dress down, and it's all big and fluffy! I take my scepter, and de-grease my hair. I braid it, and smile. I put some if my cocacola flavoured lip gloss with the tingling 'refreshing' feeling. I looked pretty good. I slide on some flats, and feed mark before I exit my room. I lock the door behind me, and walk through the hallway and down the stairs.

I hear footsteps from behind me, pattering against the soft, detailed red and white carpet of the lobby. I feel a hand on my back, and turn around. It was William!

"Hello, Will!" I curtsy. He hands me a rose. I smile at him.

"Hello, my love." He gets on his knee, and take my hand. He lifts it up to his lips, placing a gentle kiss on my small hand. He gets back up, and smiles at me.

"You look charming." I say, looking at his suit. "Very well dressed."

We hear more footsteps, a group of people came our way. Danielle and Aestia in formal attire came flying 'round the corner. Megan just walks in her usual clothing, chilled out.

A floating thing- which I assumed to be a limo in this high tech society - stops at the door. William open the door for all of us, and we all stepped inside the vehicle. As we're taken around the gleaming kingdom, slowly floating our way towards the castle, I look towards Aestia. She seemed quiet and at war with herself.

"Aestia?" I ask her. She looks up at me, but then looks back down.

"Not right now." She replies. "Please."

I nod, and think back to the hospital. Was something wrong?..

We arrive at the castle, and join the other campers from our Royal Academy, as well as students from the University of Elegance and Royalty. There was a diverse cluster of students, hanging out in the glistening courtyard. Trees and bushes, trimmed to be just right each morning. The light reflected off the leaves, making the entire courtyard glow with sunlight. The great dolphin fountain was placed as the centerpiece. It was beautiful. The gates to the castle had closed once everyone had arrived. Students kept socializing and having fun. Soon enough, meaning maybe about ten or fifteen minutes later, the big castle doors had opened, and everyone shuffled inside.

The princess of the kingdom, greeted us from the second floor. Everyone stood inside the palace throne room, where a beautiful crystal throne lay. "My royal friends, old and new, I would like to welcome you to my home." The tanned princess said. "Here, we will have a ball. But first, you must be sorted into your groups. There are two categories. Nature and Technology. You have already been sorted into these groups, but must take a test from there." She says. "Please take your assigned seats at your tables. Your names are on the cards in front of your seats. If you unfold those cards, you will see your information, and customized test. You will answer each question honestly. Thank you for your time." She curtsies, and walks away to another room, most likely getting everything set up for the ball.

I find my seat at the marble table. I see a few familiar faces sitting there, scattered amongst the rest of those sitting at the table. I unfold my name card, and behind reading.

Noelani Clearwater
Nature

Oh, okay. Interesting.
I look at the main info part

Okay, alright. Should be easy enough.

I see a small earpiece, and put it in my ear. Immediately, I see darkness.
Then, a sudden light. "Where am I?" I ask the light. "What happened?"

"You've begun your test." A voice says from the void around me. "Let's start with your preferred resources."
