Chapter 3: Max saved me

Y/n PoV

As I started to get closer to the house I see Max looking at me and called me over so I went to him and he said

"Y/n do you know how worried Ross is he thought you left and went to move in with your friend F/n"

"oh no I would never move out unless you guys don't want me to live here any more" I replied.

I started to cry then all of a sudden Max gave me a hug and asked what was wrong, then I pushed him away when he said that and ran up to the front door and then to my room, locked the door and hooked my phone up to the speakers and put the music on loud.

Max's PoV

Why did Y/n run to the house, I shouted to her but she didn't turn around so I have to run after her.

When I noticed she was trying to unlock the door I ran faster to catch up to her when she saw me she just left the front door open and legged it up stars but she stopped off to the bathroom first then when I got to the top of the stairs she locked herself in her room and put on a nightcore song, which I recognised.

I know the song well because I used to listen to it when I was mad at my self so I punched walls. She must be going through something bad. I need to get to her now and the only way to do that is by knocking the door down.

"Sorry Y/n please don't hate me" I said calmly.

Y/n PoV

I don't deserve to live here with my friend and his friend I'm an useless friend I should just go way and not come back.

I start to cut my arm with the knife I got from the bathroom earlier in case I ever needed to hurt myself.

I was about to cut for the 8th time my door was knocked down suddenly and I saw Max look at me with a worried look and he could see me crying and that my arm was bleeding from the cuts I just made.

"Why did you do this to yourself Y/n?" Max asked.

"YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW MAX" I shouted as I started to cry more.

He came up to me looked me in the eyes and grabbed my hand and took me too his room and told me to sit down.

Max's PoV

"I DON'T NEED TO KNOW WHY MY ROOM MATE IS HURTING HERSELF WELL I THINK I DO UNLESS I WILL TELL ROSS WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO YOURSELF" I shouted at Y/n for the first time and I felt horrible about yelling at her like that.

"I'M SORRY MAX PLEASE DON'T HIT ME" she replied,

"Why would I hit you Y/n???" I said with a confused look.

"I don't know all the guys I have dated have hit me so I'm scared that if I upset or anger a friend who is a guy they will hit me"Y/n replied, crying even more.

"Hey Y/n look at me I will never hurt you and I'm not leaving you alone until I believe you wont cut yourself again so you are coming with me to work and I don't care if I have to carry you to the car" I said as I picked her up and took her to the car.

On the way there, I put on one of my fav nightcore songs.

Y/n PoV

I hated that I told Max that guys in the past have hit me, I know he is going to tell Ross when he gets to work. I listen to the song Max put on and I liked it and I asked him to put it on repeat so I could sing along with it.

When the song started again I sung along with the song and Max looked shocked and it hit me he has never heard me sing, so I stopped singing and he looked at me and asked

"Why did you stop singing?"

"Because I don't like to sing around people" I replied

"oh but you looked so relaxed" Max said,

"oh, did I that must be because I like you" I replied
