A couple weeks go by and Colin was back on daddy duty full time. Aaliyah was across the country in New York for fashion week, and while Colin was missing his wife, he was lovin the different looks Aaliyah served on the red carpets, and posted just about any picture he could get his hands on.

The kids were at school, and around noon, Colin decided to get Aalijah out of the house and took him to the park. Sitting on the park bench, watching his son play, Colin gets a phone call from Aaliyah.

"Hey my beautiful queen."

"Hey my handsome King...what are you and my handsome young prince up to?"

"We're at the park right now, then probably gonna get some ice-cream."

"Ice-cream? Has he eating lunch yet?"

"...that's what the ice-cream is for Aaliyah. Duh."

"Don't play..."

"Aye, you let me do this, alright?"

"Okay, whatever."

"Hold up real quick..." He says as his phone starts beeping, letting him know he has another call coming in. It's from the kid's school. "It's the kids school."

"Oh lord...somebody in trouble." She says.

"Stay on the line."

"Okay."

He quickly clicks over. "Hello."

"Hi, Mr. Kaepernick?"

"This is he."

"This is Ms. Flowers, Riley's teacher."

"Is everything okay?"

"Everything's fine. She just had a little accident." He furrows his eyebrows, and gives a confused look.

"What kind of accident?"

"Um the kind only young ladies have..."

Shit. "Okay Ms. Flowers, tell Riley to sit tight, and I'll be there to pick her up." He says then hang up. "Oh my God.." He says out loud, then snaps out of his daze when his phone starts ringing. "Hello..."

"Umm did you forget I was on the other line; what happened?"

"Baby...Riley's having lady problems."

"Shut up, you're lying!"

"I wish I was..."

"Okay, here's what I need you to do...take a deep breath."

He takes a big, deep breath. "That ain't help. Aaliyah, forreal, what am I gonna do?"

"Well go pick her up for one, then take her home to shower. I'm trying to think if I have stray pads laying around somewhere. I know I have tampons but baby girl ain't ready for all that"

"Baby girl ain't even ready for any of this man." He says putting his head in his hand.

"Baby, we knew this day was coming."

"You said age 12. She's 11."

"I said around 12. She turns 12 this year. Just go get my baby, because I know you're sitting down at the park about to cry."

"Damn, can I get some type of sympathy?"

"Colin, go get my child."

"Okay. I'll call you later when I get her all situated."

"Okay."

Colin and Aalijah leave the park and go straight the school. Colin picks both of the kids up and takes them home. The whole ride home, Riley was silent. She and Aaliyah had talked about the changes that would come, but she didn't expect it do soon or for it to happen at school and she felt a little embarrassed.

Once Colin and the kids get home, Riley goes upstairs to take a shower, the boys watch tv on the couch while Colin searches for the stray pads Aaliyah was talking about and he finds them, then he calls her.

"Hey, how's it going?"

"Umm okay I guess. Riley's in the shower right now. I only found two pads...that enough to last her for today?"

"Um no. Not even close...you're gonna have to buy more."

"Aaliyahh" he says in a long sigh. "Can you just come home."

"I'll be home in two days. You gotta hold it down and be strong till I get back. You think your emotions are all over the place...imagine what she's experiencing..."

"I guess this would explain why she's been in a pissy mood and she was complaining of a stomach ache."

"Yup. Those were probably the cramps. If she complains about them, I have a heating pad in my closet. She should know how to put the pad on, and I'll call her."

"Okay...."

Aaliyah's been hanging out with Kash all day so of course, she was notified.

"Can't believe my baby girl is becoming a little woman."

"Is Colin still breathing?"

"Surprisingly. He's gonna go to the store to buy her stuff and I'm sure he will be calling me soon." And he did. He wanted to make sure he got all the right things.

Right when they get back from the store, Aaliyah FaceTimes Riley.

"Hey baby girl."

"Hey mommy."

"How are you feeling?" She shrugs her shoulders. "Are you laying down?"

"Yeah, I'm in bed. My stomach hurts."

"Aww mamita. I don't come home for another two days, but I think I'm gonna cut my trip short. You need me, and I don't know if daddy can fully handle this yet."

"He can't. I'm pretty sure he's cried like 3 times."

"I can believe it. I'll be home tomorrow morning, okay?"

"Okay..I don't wanna go to school."

"You don't have to...I'll let daddy know."

"Okay."

"I'll talk to you later tonight." Riley nods. "I love you."

"I love you too mommy."
