Chapter 6

Alright so before I start this chapter  I just want to say sorry for not updating for so long! most of this is because I've just started my YouTube channel and editing videos is taking forever lol

Anyways I hope you guys enjoy this chapter and I am going to apologise in advance if this sucks.

Nico's POV

Nico walks away from the Poseidon cabin, he'd wanted to apologise to Percy but after Jason had left he couldn't bring himself to enter the sea gods cabin. He wanted to confess to Percy to tell him his true feelings, explain why he was trying to help him. But as soon as he went to knock on the door he knew there wasn't any chance that he would be able to, he was just kidding himself if he thought that Percy would still accept him. Who would accept a gay son of Hades? Exactly. No one would.

Nico sighs before walking over to his own cabin in the hope of getting a nap. He'd been awake the whole night thanks to the nightmare and his insomnia and now all he really wanted to do was sleep. As he reached the door to his cabin he wondered slightly if Hazel would still be inside. She had skipped breakfast with the others that morning to get some more sleep after the journey to camp half blood from camp Jupiter. If his sister was still inside she would question him on why he was tired and why he wasn't at camp activities and he couldn't deal with all of that.

It took him a while to make up his mind on whether he should enter or not and in the end he decides against it, just in case his sister is there. Nico did love Hazel but she was just to over protective when it came to things like his health, both physical and mental. This was why nobody knew about his depression, anxiety or even his mild insomnia. If his sister found out it would be much worse.

Instead Nico walks away from the cabins and over to the sword fighting arena. If he wasn't going to sleep he might as well do something useful while he was awake. As Nico approached the arena he noticed another cabin already there, practicing. Seeing as he was the only one in the Hades cabin most of the time the other campers didn't mind if he joined in with them in camp activities but it still made him nervous whenever he had to ask if he could join in. It was like his social anxiety just didn't want him to have any friends, either that or he would make a fool out of himself with his stuttering that could sometimes happen.

Luckily the cabin practicing was the Ares cabin and Nico managed to get on quite well with Clarisse and it was an added bonus that Frank was back today as well. He decides to approach Frank as he can normally speak easily with the son of Mars so won't have to worry to much about his stuttering.

What if I do stutter though and he tells Hazel, I don't want to worry her.  Nico asks himself as he walks slowly over to Frank.

But he quickly puts that thought out of his mind, he was determined not to stutter today.

"Hey Frank do you mind if I l-like maybe practice with you g-guys?" Nico asks the boy, ducking his head and cursing himself for stuttering.

"Oh hey Nico. Yeah sure you can train with us, in fact I could use your help if that's ok. I don't want these guys to laugh at me." Frank jokes.

Nico only nods his head before following the roman away from the rest of the Ares cabin, his eyes still on the floor. He was actually happy that Frank had asked him to help, it meant he wouldn't have to be near any large crowds. He hates large crowds.

Within a few minutes Nico and Frank had started fighting, there swords hitting each others as they reflected attacks. It didn't take long for both Nico and Frank to tire and their strikes to become less powerful. Normally Nico could have gone on for longer but he was relying on the little energy he had gained with the half hour nap he had at 4 this morning, and add that to having very little breakfast he had eaten it wasn't a surprise that within 5 minutes of fighting Nico was worn out.
