"What's the matter Annabeth?" Percy grumbles as he rubs the sleep from his eyes.

Annabeth had rushed into his cabin a few seconds ago with a look of guilt in her eyes, and had woken Percy up from his well needed sleep. Ever since they had come back from saving the world both he and Annabeth had the most tormenting nightmares of Tartarus imaginable and Percy was lucky to get even 2 hours of sleep a night. Yet here Annabeth stood, her back to the now closed door, with not a look of fear or pain in her eyes but instead guilt and shame.

"I...I need to tell you something." Annabeth starts ducking her head in shame as she walks over the threshold of cabin 3 to Percy's bed.

"What's wrong Annie?" Percy asks now confused at his girlfriends behaviour. This wasn't how the Annabeth he knew normally acted, something was defiantly wrong.

After sitting at the end of Percy's bed she continues with her explanation. " It didn't mean anything I swear, but with you working so hard with the re-builds of the cabins and hunting down Hermes's kids we haven't had any time together so....."

"Wait, what are you talking about?" Percy interrupts now even more confused. What did she mean 'It meant nothing' ?

"It wasn't my fault and it wasn't supposed to happen Percy I swear." Annabeth says her voice cracking at the last word.

"What did you do?" Percy asks slightly nervous as ideas of what Annabeth could have done float through his fear infested mind.

"I slept with Travis." she mumbles quietly as if hoping that Percy wouldn't hear her. But he had.

"You did what????!!!!!" Percy shouts jumping out of his bed so he could see the face of the girl he loved more clearly.

"I.....I didn't mean to Percy it just happened. One minute we were kissing and then the next he was taking off my clothes and...... But I swear Percy it meant nothing, it was an accident." Annabeth sobs tears running down her face.

The fact that Annabeth was trying to deny the whole thing was just making Percy madder instead of calming him down. How could she do that to him after he fell into Tartarus for her? And how is cheating on someone ever an accident?

"How in Hades was it an accident Annabeth? Something like that doesn't happen without a reason." Percy exclaims loudly running a hand through his hair.

"I never meant to cheat on you Percy but you have just been so busy and..."

Percy interrupts her right there, "So it's my fault that you cheated on me? I have been doing all that work to keep me busy Annabeth so I don't have to think about what we went through. I have gone to hell and back with you and suddenly that's not good enough and it's my fault." He shouts at her waving his hands angrily.

Annabeth stands up now as well. "You haven't bothered to spend any time with me for ages Percy it's just been about camp with you, it's like I'm not even here. I still manage to live a healthy lifestyle and I went through the same things remember."

"I'm reminded of it every second Annabeth and haven't you noticed how selfish you're sounding. I do make time for you Annabeth why do you think I'm still here. I could have gone home weeks ago but I've stayed here where I'm going to suffer more because of you." Percy shouts at his girlfriend.

"I haven't asked you to stay Percy. I didn't mean to sleep with Travis but I don't seem to regret it so much anymore, you're being a real jerk about this Percy." Annabeth says drying the tears that are left on her face.

"You expect me to be happy that you have cheated on me with one of my friends Annabeth? I am nothing but loyal to you yet you betray me?" Percy shouts, pretty sure he's woken up about half the camp from shouting.

"Of course I didn't think you'd be happy Percy but I though you might be at least a little bit considerable to how I'm feeling about this."

"From where I'm standing Annabeth you seemed to have gotten the better end of the bargain. You didn't have to sleep with him yet you did and there is no way in hell that I'm going to forgive you easily for this." Percy shouts his anger still rising.

"Well it's a good thing that you are going to have lots of time to think it through then isn't it." Annabeth says walking back towards the door of cabin 3.

"What are you talking about?" Percy asks his anger now dying down but instead replaced with fear and confusion.

"I can't heal from the pain of Tartarus here Percy, I need to leave and find myself again." Annabeth explains.

"You don't need to leave Annabeth I need you here no matter what you've done to hurt me." Percy says a tear falling from his face.

"I'm sorry Percy but I need to do this I hope you can forgive me for doing this to you." Annabeth says as she exits the cabin, leaving Percy standing in the middle of an empty cabin alone.

Tears continue to roll down Percy's cheeks as he walks slowly back to his bed. How could Annabeth do this to him? He'd helped her through so much but still she cheats on him and leaves before he's had a chance to think about how he feels. She wasn't being fair especially when she tried to blame him, as if it's his fault she couldn't keep her legs closed. Percy rolls into bed hiding his face into his pillow so he can let out a scream without being heard. She was gone and he had no one left to help him through everything.

Or so he thought.
