I apologize for taking almost a month on updating, but the week I had planned on was also a week where I got sick to a point where I didn't want to do anything. And then the following week I had writers block and then I was just to busy.
Also this chapter is dedicated to sunnyxo. Happy birthday girly!
Anyway, yeah so here it is, hope you like it.

Chapter Five
November came and went and before I knew it, Christmas was less than a week away.
I had taken Noelle and Jessica's advice on giving Nate some space. I had given him so much space, that he hasn't talked to me since Thanksgiving. During that time, I found something new to occupy my mind. Christmas gifts.
When I asked mom and dad what they wanted, they didn't exactly give me anything to go on. They just said that they 'have everything we could ever ask for'. So I just bought dad several pairs of colorful socks because he loves them so much, and mom her favorite perfume and body scrub. I'm still trying to figure out what to get Jessica and Noelle. I was thinking matching charm friendship bracelets or something like that, but I don't know. Even though I haven't been here that long and I haven't known them long as well, I still want to get them something nice to show my appreciation for them being great friends.
I was currently in the kitchen make a red velvet cheesecake, because it's my favorite, when the doorbell rang. Mom and dad were out doing whatever, they've been so secretive lately, so I was home alone.
Wiping my hands on a dish towel and head to the door.
"Hey Marissa, why do you look like a housewife with that polka dot apron?" Jessica asks, pushing past me.
I give her a confused look and look down at my apron. It was one that wrapped around the waist with pink and green polka dots. "What are you doing here? And my apron is cute."
She chuckles. "I wanted to see what you were doing and give you some bad news."
"I'm baking. What's the bad news?" I ask, walking back into the kitchen.
She sighs and sits down on one of the barstools. "She's back."
"Who the hell is she?"
"Savannah. Noelle called me and told me she saw her at a restaurant with Nate, all intimate and stuff. I came over here to tell you as soon as I found out."
Right now I had no idea what to think. Nate and I aren't a thing, so I should exactly be bothered by it, right? "Okay,"
"What the hell Marissa!? Okay? That's all you have to say?" she yells.
"Yes, that is all I have to say. Nate isn't my boyfriend. If he and Savannah get back together, then they're back together. Not much I can say about it."
"But, I thought you liked him. I thought he gave you butterflies."
"I do like him and he still gives me butterflies, but what am I supposed to do, Jess?"
"Um, fight for him. Marissa, you can't let Savannah win him over."
I shrug. "I barely know him, Jessica. Besides, if he wanted to be in a relationship with me then he would have said so. I hate giving up so easy on something, but my life doesn't and will not revolve around a guy."
"Okay, I won't say anything else about it. It's just that I feel like I've known you forever and I don't want to see you hurt." she explained.
I smile. "It's okay and you'll know when I'm hurt. I consider you and Noelle close friends and I'm happy that you have my back whenever needed and I'd do the same for both of you."
