Athena: The Elements

Episode Five: Cool Crowds

Previously: Caspar White makes his way down to Athena, where he is stunned by the great and beautiful structure. He enters the gates, and finds himself in the midst of a packed crowd. Soon he accidentally falls, and knocks someone into the fountain!

Sky POV

"Sky!"

I turned from the crowd, seeing my friend Jade dashing toward me, parting from another line of girls who turned to smile in my direction. Among them were Emma and Erica.

I had just been dropped off by my limo a few minutes ago. I didn't need to carry much, since I had personal assistants carrying my luggage. I had to have another vehicle personally deliver all of my bags because there was so much! Another assistant walked me to the gate and checked that all of my things were ready and everything was in place. 

Now, to most people, this would be a lot.

But it wasn't really a big deal to me, I had grown up with this sort of thing. My father wanted to make sure I had the best first day possible, and it wasn't much trouble considering we were one of the richest families in Aeria, and most of the five kingdoms! This was all because my father worked in a high role in the kingdoms government, and moved onto be in the secretary when the five kingdoms merged.

Anyway, he had sent me a call telling me "I love you" and "good luck" before I had been dropped off and escorted to Athena.

So Emma, Jade and Erica rushed toward me and we immediately fell into a large group hug. We giggled in excitement, and laughed in unison. When we broke apart, Emma's eyes lit up. "Let's take a first day selfie, I'll post it!"

She held her phone high in the air and as we struck poses and put on our glam faces she snapped the photo. "Perfect!" she squealed as she stared at the product. Jade leaned over and pouted "No, I look bad, let's take another!"

So we took one or two more and finally found a place to sit nearby the fountain. Erica added "OMG, Sky, I love that french braid!"

"Thanks!" I chirped. "And is that a new handbag?"

She nodded. Even though we see each other like every week and text each other every day we still felt like this was a big reunion.

"I feel like my outfit's too simple." Jade frowned as she looked down at the short white top and scarlet mini-skirt she wore. Her necklace glittered and her heels looked stunning. Her hair was straitened and against her brown skin she had red lipstick and puffy mascara on.

"You look great." I said honestly, although Jade usually wore bolder print.

"But you could have worn something cuter." Erica put in, only half-jokingly. "Erica!" I playfully shouted at her. Erica had her wavy blonde hair out, and silver jewelry on.  Perfect with her pale skin, she put blue eye shadow on to match her adorable turquoise top with large straps. Her skinny jeans showed off her marvelous figure, and her tall black boots matched her bag. Erica was all about matching, but her pink lipstick went against her winter appeal completely.

Emma had chosen more vibrant colors to match autumn. Emma had worn an orange frilly dress with yellow and black flower pattern. Her hair was down as well, but had a yellow headband to add pizzazz. Her black heels were a plus, and so was her gold looped earrings. She had thin Asian eyes, but hers were oddly very large and pearly, or maybe it was just all the eyeliner, mascara and eye shadow she wore. Either way, it complimented her dark green eyes.

For me, I had a light blue skirt that fell at my knees, a white top that had long sleeves and flowery frills, a thick brown belt with a silver buckle, and silver flats. My hair was tied in a perfect blonde french braid, and as a plus had glittery white and blue flowers pinned in it. Lastly, I had a light layer of makeup and a dangling bracelet on my wrist.
