Notes: (Y/E/N) - Your Ex's Name

You slowly opened your eyes. You had a splitting headache and couldn't move. You wanted to, but strong arms held you in place.

At first you panicked. You strained to remember what happened last night, but the pounding in your head made it nearly impossible.

Then you remembered why you had a hammering in your head. The bar. You then realized that you must be in Foggy's arms.

Just as you were about to prod him awake, you heard him grumble, and felt him hug you even closer.

You lightly blushed and decided not wake him. You closed your eyes, deciding to try and get some more sleep.

Foggy's P.O.V.
I groaned and tried to sit up, but a weight on my chest stopped me. I squinted my eyes to see (Y/N)'s head resting on my chest and hand on my shoulder. They looked so peaceful. I sighed hoping that the drunken kiss from last night didn't freak them out.

I see their eyes flutter open as they slowly wake up. They lift their head from my chest and rub their eyes, yawning slightly.

"Morning, sunshine," I say to them. They give me a small smile and put a hand to their head. I realize their head must hurt as much as mine.

"Bathroom's around the corner, Tylenol's in the cabinet above the sink." They mumble thanks before slowly making their way to the bathroom.

When they're gone I make my way to the kitchen to make some breakfast. I start small, with toast, then decide to make some eggs and bacon to go along with it.

"Something smells good," I hear them say.

I smile at them and see they look a bit more refreshed and awake. They hand me the Tylenol bottle and I respond with a thanks before taking a couple.

I make our plates and hand one to them before gesturing towards the couch. They take a seat and we eat in comfortable silence.

Your P.O.V.
Foggy is too nice to me, you think to yourself. He let me stay here then makes me breakfast? I didn't think there were still guys like him in this shitty world.

He got up and looked at you before holding out his hand for your now empty plate.

You hand it to him and thank him again. You didn't want things to be awkward between you two, but he doubted he would like you sober.

As he walked into the kitchen to put your dishes in the sink, your mind raced with thoughts of why Foggy wouldn't like you like that. But that kiss... your mind kept pointing out. You had felt the spark, and you knew it wasn't the alcohol.
Foggy returned and sat next to you on the couch. He smiled at you and said, "So, I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go out for dinner tonight. I swear I'm a lot of fun, even when alcohol's not involved."

"I'd love to Foggy," you replied, beaming.

"Okay, it's a date. I'll meet you at Josie's at six, then we can go to this great Italian place off of Eleventh avenue," he said, returning your smile.

"I can't wait," you said, already feeling butterflies in your stomach.

Foggy smiled at you again, then his phone went off. He picked it up and furrowed his brows, he set the phone down and it went off again. Then it started ringing.

Sighing, he answered it. "Hey, Karen... No I can't come in today... Because I'm sick, must of caught a bug or something..." he coughed into the phone. "Matt was hit by a car and won't be in either... He's fine, just a few scratches... We can't sue the driver, it was Matt's fault... Okay. Don't do anything I wouldn't do. Bye." He hung up and sighed again.
You decided you should probably give him some space. Plus you still needed to face your new ex. You placed a reassuring hand on his arm. He looked at you and smiled tiredly.

"I should probably go get things sorted out with (Y/E/N)." He nodded and you stood up. "Josie's. Six o'clock. I won't be late," you said.

Foggy stood up too. "You better not be, or I won't share the breadsticks," he joked.

You grinned and kissed his cheek before grabbing your purse. You waved goodbye as you walked out the door.
As you made your way to your apartment you sighed. Six o'clock couldn't come sooner.

~~~
You stood outside Josie's waiting for Foggy to show up. You got there early and were still trying to cool down from your argument with (Y/E/N).
The good news was that they decided to go live with your best friend and that your apartment was now cheater-free.
But you still didn't know if you could fix things with (Y/F/N). They had crossed a line. You would have been fine if they got together after you had broken up, but to cheat? You just didn't understand.
Stop thinking about it, you thought. You have a date with a great guy who's funny, sweet, and likes you. Or, at least, maybe he does. Your thoughts then turned to worrying about your date. What if it didn't go well? What if you had imagined the spark?
You were snapped out of your thoughts as a taxi pulled in front of you. The door opened to reveal Foggy. He got out and held the door open for you, bowing slightly.
"Why thank you, sir," you said stepping into the car. He entered after you and told the driver where to go. He turned and grinned at you, grabbing your hand. You returned the grin, and squeezed your joined hands.
You reached your destination and Foggy once again held the door for you.
Eventually you were seated and served. The food was homemade. It was amazing. They called this part of New York Hell's Kitchen for a reason. You either made great food or you were chopped.
You talked about anything and everything. From music, to movies, to the city, to work. You loved the way Foggy's eyes lit up when he talked about justice and helping people. And Foggy told jokes throughout the night, making you laugh until your side hurt.
By the end of the date you were drunk on Foggy.
He walked you to your door after the cab ride and you thanked him for the amazing night. He brushed it off and said, "It was only amazing cause you were there."
You looked at your feet trying to hide your blush. He grabbed your hand and you looked up at him to be met with his lips on yours.
This kiss was fireworks. You had no idea how else to explain it. The spark was definitely there, along with butterflies and hope.
Hope that this was the start of something new.
When you finally broke the kiss Foggy was beaming like the sun. His blissful expression matched yours and you just stood there looking at each other.
He squeezed your hand and let go. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his phone. You exchanged numbers and after one more kiss you were in your apartment walking in a daze.
Your phone buzzed. A text from Foggy.
Foggy: Want to get mexican tomorrow?
You: Sure
You: As long as there'll be chimichangas.
Foggy: Are you crazy? Of course there will be!
You: Then it's a date :)
