Ryder's POV

After hearing my brother's message, I decided to distract my mind from it and get a head start on my study material. Knowing that history will take me longer I choose to take a look at that subject first.

"Really, Ryder?" Katie groans making me look up from my opened textbook up to her who stood in the entryway of my bedroom.

Katie was dressed in dark denim skinny jeans with a loose white sweatshirt, her hair falling straight down her neck and shoulders.

"What?" I frown, twirling my pen in my hand, giving her a shrug.

"We literally just got out of school and you are already studying?" She asks, raising her brows at me.

"It won't kill me." I shrug. "Besides we only have a week."

"Come on,bookworm." Katie sighs, tilting her head to the side. "Let's go, we don't want to be late for work."

Harry's POV

I keep my eyes fixed on the road as I finally reach Manchester as soft music flows around the car from the stereo. The drive has been quite long which I am glad about because it adds distance to the place where I don't want to be at the moment; it adds distance to the people I don't want to either see or speak to. However, the long car journey gives my mind permission to taunt me with my thoughts even though I try to push them aside.

It's like they are a never ending loop in my subconscious and they are a reminder of what I did, of what happened because of me and I can't escape them.

I find it quite amusing that everyone around me tells me it's best if I forget but what they don't see is that it's impossible. If I could forget don't they think I would have by now?

I frown, glancing at the clock on the radio seeing that it's almost seven in the afternoon. I have not eaten anything since I left and I doubt Gemma will be home right now on a Friday night.

Well, might as well get something to eat.

I bring my car to a stop once I approached a red light, my eyes scanning the streets for any nearby food joints. For once, luck is on my side and I spot a lit up sign to my right of a small dinner.

So far so good, maybe coming here was a good choice.

Slowly, I ease into a parking space next to the sidewalk across the street from the small dinner. Turning off my car, I take out the keys from the ignition before leaning over to my bag on the passenger seat digging through to find my wallet.  Once I find it I swiftly climb out of the car, shutting the door before locking it with the small remote that hung on the key chain; shoving my wallet into my pocket. I glance both ways of the street before crossing and come to a stop opening the restaurant door stepping inside.

Once my eyes scanned the inside the first thing they noticed was that it was packed, hopefully luck is still on my side and there will be at least one empty table left for me to sit. The restaurant had light brown painted walls with a few small framed pieces of art of a nice open wood landscape.
