*insert funny AN here cause I got nothing lmao*

"Hello?"
I say as I answer the phone.

"Hey, boy! How're you doing?"
I hear Larry say.
I smile since I haven't spoken to him in a few months.

"Oh, we're doing great! Norabella and Kyle started school last week."
I hear Larry gasp and I chuckle.

"Aww. She's growing up all to soon.
Anyways, I have some bad news."
He says completely changing his tone.

Oh god. This can't be good.

"Okay, one sec."
I say rushing out of the room to where Daniel is.
I click 'Speaker'

"Okay go ahead."
I say after sitting down and placing the phone on the coffee table in front of us.

"I'm just going to be forward with ya, Its time."
I sigh and hold Daniels hand.

I guess we know it was gonna come sooner or later.

"Are you sure? Can-"

"Yes, Joey."

I press my lips together and clear my throat.

"Okay Larry. Thanks for notifying us."
He mummers in agreement and then hangs up.

Daniel takes a deep breath in and out.

"We knew this would happen sooner or later."
I say.

"I was hoping later"
He replies. "3 years. I think it's been long enough. At least we'll know how long he goes in for, right?"
I say. He nods a little and I rest my head on his shoulders.

As if in cue, just a few seconds later Norabella swings open the door and puts her backpack down.

"Hello guardians!" She says jumping onto the other couch.

EE. This is gonna be a rough conversation.

"Hey, we need to talk to you about something."
Daniel says. He's going for it I see.
Worry fills her eyes as she hears the seriousness in his voice.

"Okay. What is it?" She asks a little shaky.

Daniel looks at me.
Guess it's my turn.

"Okay well, we just got off the phone with Larry and, your fathers court is tomorrow."

Larry apparently forgot to tell us sooner.
Thanks, Larry.

"What?" She says staring at me dead in the eyes.

She's never looked to pale.

"Hey, honey, it's okay. There are a lot of police men there. Nothing bad is gonna happen"
Daniel says softly.

Her breathing gets a little faster and she taps her foot.

"Please don't make me go."
She says quietly.
She's never looked so terrified.

It's breaking me heart.

"Honey, don't be scared."
I say walking over to her.

"If you want your dad to go to prison, you have to have your testify. Is basic questions so they can lock your dad up."

I say rubbing her back.

She puts her hands over her face sniffs.

"I don't want to go."
She mummers. Her voice cracking.

I wish she didn't have to go, either.
