"Are you seriously doing this?" Megan asked.
"Well if I wasn't I wouldn't be doing it right now." I said with a slight smirk.
"Sometimes I question myself why am I even your best friend." She said laughing while jumping over the fence that said Keep Out.
"Hurry up." I said
"God Victoria, give me a break. I jumped over a fence where I could of easily break my neck."
"Megan, calm down, we're here anyway." I said rolling my eyes at her dramatic much?
"Woah, this is breathtaking." Megan said.
"I know right..."
"Wait why are you showing me this? Hold up, hold up.. You dragged me out of my room, made me climb a fence, to see a sunset?" She said looking at me with confusion.
"Well ya see... Me and you have been best friends since we were 10. You know me better than anyone. And when I was 9 I found this area where I can just... Be free." I said standing up closing my eyes smelling the ocean scent.
"Awe I love you Tori." She said giving me a hug.
"Love you too Meg." I said hugging her back.
"Okay enough of this mushy mushy stuff, I might just end up crying." Megan said causing me to laugh.
"Haha, your right." I said.
Ding
I checked my phone to see if I was the one who got any messages,
"It's mine, and my mom wants to know if you'll be staying with us." Megan said.
"I mean where else am I gonna stay, you guys are basically my family... I mean my family doesn't even know if I'm alive." I said playing with the sand.
"You did run away though..." Megan said.
"I had a reason too. I'm not just gonna go sit and watch my dad get drunk every night, while he yells at me saying I'm the reason my mom is dead..."
"Can we just go home now... We wouldn't want your mom worrying." I said standing up cleaning my butt to wash any access of sand off.
"Sorry... And sure.." She said standing up.
I climbed up the fence and when I reached the top, I jumped down landing on my feet.
"Cmon Megan I don't wanna be here all night." I said impatient.
"If I die, your paying for my grave." She said climbing up the fence and landing on her feet.
"Was that so bad? Now we better discuss what your mom's making for dinner." I said digging in my back pocket and grabbing my keys.
