(Authors note: basically where I put the days is only for this chapter so)
The next week was equally annoying.
Luke followed us around making sassy remarks.
Monday
He joined my math class.
Tuesday
He had to sit by me.
Wednesday
All our projects were with "shoulder partners"
And I wanted to stab him.
"Hey pretty thang." He winks.
"Call me Sophia." I roll my eyes.
"Soph."
"Sophia."
"I like Soph."
"I'd like to stab you but we don't always get what we want." I reply sarcastically.
"You only stab people you love."
"How are you not still in first grade?"
"I almost got held back in first grade."
"Explains a lot." I scoff. "Can we just work?"
He nods and we - I go back to trying to figure out stupid, useless equations.
He just stares at me.
"You're kinda pretty."
"You're kinda a flirt."
"Your point?" He smiles.
"Sophia! Luke! This isn't a tinder date! Get back to work." Our math teacher yells from across the room.
"It's anything but that," I mumble under my breath.
"How's your hair so blonde?" Luke says.
"Because. Can we just work?" I say, changing the subject.
"Mhm." He says and attempts to help.
Thursday
"Done! We are finally done. How many equations was that? Like 100!" Luke sighs as he finishes the last question.
"32." I laugh.
"Close enough." He mumbles.
All through class he stares at me. It was like he was studying me.
"Anyone home?" I say, waving my hand in front of his face.
He snaps out of it and smiles.
"Sorry." He mumbles.

Friday.
He wouldn't even look at me.
Saturday
I meet up with Kate for a "super sleepover"
"Super sleepover WOOHOO!"
"woo." I echo, unenthusiastically.
"What's wrong buttercup?" Kate says, worry filling her face.
"I guess."
"Talk."
"Well Luke is fucking jerk. So he makes me basically fall in love with him within a week, then won't even look at me the next day." I say, all in one breath.
"Awh babe, boys are dumb, I'll smash him if you want." Kate says, pulling me into a hug.
"No, I'll give him another chance I guess." I say.
Monday
"Hey hey!" Luke greets me at my locker.
"Hey." I smile back.
"What are you doing later? Nothing? Good! We're going to my house!" Luke says, not allowing me to answer.
"Got to go!" He waves goodbye to me and runs away, to meet up with Michael.
I meet Luke after school, and we end up going to my house.
"Mhmmhmmmm home sweet home, baby!" He yells and flops down on the couch, throwing his backpack across the room.
"Make yourself at home." He smiles cheekily.
I flip down next him.
"So soph how are ya?" He smiles.
"Sophia."
"Soph."
"Whatever." I roll my eyes.
"Look soph-Sophia, I really like you-" he states, as if he's said these words a million times.
"Go." I say, pointing towards the door.
"But-" he starts.
"GO!" I yell, louder this time
He gathers his things quickly and leaves, but not without mumbling something I can't make out.
I guess you can say I wasn't really ready for a relationship with him. At least not yet.
