Throwing my black boots on, I threw myself over to the door. It was nearing the end of October, which meant we were moving into winter although like the last few days, I had a hunch that It'd be warm today so I didn't bother throwing on my coat. Well, the school uniform did bundle with a sweater so even if it is going to be a little nippy, I'll be fine! The entrance to the family home opens with ease as a fresh breeze hits my body with tremendous force!

“Ohayo Jack!”, “Erm, morning...” we greeted each other as we exchanged an energized glomp. “You should really knock it off with that Japanese stuff, you can barely speak proper English.” he'd say while he held me in his arms. He smelled like apples, he always smelled like apples. His brown hair had grown long enough to cover his right blue eye which I liked, it was his Dark Eye I'd always say! “Lynne, I need to ask you a favour. Can we skip school today? You can come to my house! There's.... Something I need to show you...”. A present? Did he have a present for me? Or... Maybe it was a trap? “A trap! Who are you?!” I blasted at him with my vocational assault. “It's not a trap! I just have something to show you... And I couldn't bring it here.”, “Oh... okay. Let's go!” I knew it was a trap though, Jack wouldn't miss school even if he lost his arm... Maybe his Dark Eye has him mind controlled? “Lynne... What are you doing? Get off me! ARH! Lynne, why'd you poke my eye?!”

The path to Jack's house was barracaded with numerous obstacles that were intent on defeating us on our quest to skip school for the day, but oh... they were no match for me. “If you don't press the button then the traffic lights won't change for us, stop mucking around.” he said before his maturing fingers pressed against the control box that gave the traffic light's orders. He lived down a quiet street although, to get there we had to cross several busy roads. The roots of all Evil! “And I thought that Evil were supposed to work together...” I sighed. “Maybe they're so Evil... that they're conspiring against you?!”, “An enemy!”. The traitors crossed our path several times on our voyage to Jack's home and it wasn't long until I stood before his house, it was kinda big; bigger than mine. Ha... 'bigger than mine'. No, I'm not immature. I prefere to call it creative, all followers of the Dark have this sort of mindset, yep.

“Mother?”, Jack checked to make sure that he was alone and thankfully, his mother worked a 9-5 job. His family had one of those smells that you could differentiate from others, it was a nice smell though. It made me feel warm and at ease inside.“Alright, she's gone. Off to my room!” He slid off his shoes and raced upstairs, I noticed a few white hairs before the laminated staircase. “Nobody over the age of 40 lives here... it's impossible for any of Jack's family to adourn grey hairs. Imposter?” Detective Lynne is on the case! I slid off my boots and carefully paced up the staircase, looking for any more clues that may have been left behind by the imposter. “Lynne? Hurry up!” I made my way to the top of the stairs, the hallway at the top was just like your average english house, there sat a bathroom on the right, then 2 rooms stood opposite the staircase and finally the spare room on the end. Jack was an only child and so only 2 bedrooms lived here. I gulped heavily as my quaking hands reached out towards the door to Jack's room, twisting the door knob I pushed the door open to reveal the imposter!

“Her name's Rayne, she didn't have one already and so... I gave her one.”, “Kawaii!”. She sat on the floor with her small pale hands on the floor in front of her, supporting her body. She looked almost like a 10 year old. Finally! Somebody I can relate to. Her white hair was abnormally long, curling around her on the floor. She seemed to be wearing one of Jack's really old shirts which still looked way too big on her. “Nice... meet you” she said in a deathly tone, “She doesn't seem to remember much of her life... I'm guessing she also lost a lot of her vocabulary.”, it felt as if I've seen this girl before, although I shrugged it off. “Oh... Hey there.” There was one thing that screamed at me, her ears didn't look normal. They were a little bigger than the average persons ears and quite pointy, like an elf's! Jack sat on the floor, then turned to speak to me whilst poking the girls cheek as she flinched each consecutive poke. “I found her in the abandoned Tech Test building the other day...”, “The same day that Matt and Rob went missing?!”, nobody has seen the two boys for days, their parents are worried and have raised an investigation on their whereabouts. A lot of the kids in my class are also concerned. “There was an accident there and... I don't know. I panicked and left them then found Rayne while I looked for the exit... That building is awfully big.”, “Do you think they're okay?”. Jack's eyes seemed lost in concern.
