The air was thick as I came to in a gloomy classroom, it was dark as always - indicating that it was night, as always. My toes felt free as they wiggled in the soft material that caged them, also indicating my lack of shoes “No surprise there” I thought to myself. Something was different though... The air was much, much thicker than usual and no sounds filled my head. Usually I would awake down a deserted corridor with the melancholic tune calling out for me but tonight, nothing. I began to glance around the room, taking in my surroundings but I didn't get far, a girl rested next to me unconscious or... sleeping? Her abnormally long white hair flared around her body as she lay on the laminated flooring. Worn out plastic desks surrounded us in the dark room and I began to hear soft droplets of water pounding against the windows exterior which let in faded light through the dusty glass, “It's raining” I thought to myself, as my attention was quickly drawn to the outside. “Nnng” came from the girl lying beside me, “Are you okay? How are you in here with me? I'm supposed to be alone..” she never answered me though, she slowly pulled her body up to sit straight up before realization hit her too, her face dropped. “The air... hard to breathe...” Then my pervyness set, in causing me to instinctively check her out, I noticed her skirt had been flipped, folds hugging each other caused the skirt to be a lot shorter than usual, exposing her upper thighs. She seemed to be wearing the same school uniform as me, the dark sweater and black plaid skirt with dark tights, it did seem to compliment her white hair though.

'eeenh... eenh' the small sound of rope grinding against something slowly entered the room, my head tried to turn towards the soft sound but Rayne launched herself towards me, pushing my face into her chest as she pulled me into her warming embrace, “Don't look...”, “W-why?!” I didn't understand why she'd deny me from looking, it made me curious; the undying curiosity to check what it was ate away at my very core. “Just don't look... “, she pulled me up, still squishing my face with her petite chest. “Is it... a body?” I asked. “It's not something Lynne wants see... Let's get out of room, Rayne thinks she can breathe better outside.”, “O...Okay.”.

It took a while to maneuver outside of the classroom without using my eyesight although, Rayne seemed set on denying me the view which I wanted so badly. It was definitely a body though, and judging by the sound of it they were hanging underneath the doorway. “Why is there a dead body here though?” Although dead bodies here are rare, it's definitely not hard to find them. Usually it's occasional to find corpses near No-Go-Rooms however, I never knew how they got there since it's my own dream... maybe they're just props I'd think to myself. There's noway that they're real bodies. We were now standing in the gloomy hallway now though, Rayne took a deep breath along with a heavy sigh. “Rayne can breathe easier outside of room.” I didn't get why she was here with me... She kind of reminded me of the girl on the swing last night, atleast her hair length matched. “Hey.... look.” Rayne pointed towards the corridor walls, “What the duck?!” I unhesitatingly threw my eyes towards the wall, these weren't here before, I knew the entire school inside and out.

Writing in a dark red substance lavished the wall, many different words over-crossed each other as if the writer ran out of room. Rayne kindly read out some of it to me, although due to her lack of English vocabulary she did a poor job of it. “persons die, others kill persons, big man hurt me. It hurts. It hurts.” Well, that was descriptive, I thought to myself. The writing seemed to talk about people inside the building losing their minds, and a very basic drawing of a huge behemoth man standing over a dead stickman-girl. “Lynne... scared?” Rayne held her palm against my chest, most probably checking my heart rate, “I'm fine, thanks. I'm sure this is nothing, it's just someone trying to trick us. But, the dark side will not be tricked so easily!” I decided to shift into my optimist persona, it was just less nerve racking this way. “Let's check the rest of the building out, Rayne!” I grabbed her ice cold hand and dragged her along on my adventure, “Dark... Side?” Rayne began to question me, “You've never heard of the Darkness?” I asked her. We stopped in the middle of the corridor, rain pounded the windows exterior beside me and a stale smell drifted through the halls. “Dark... ness? Is darkness this corridor?”, I could only face palm at this moment! “Ahemm... The Darkness is a secret underground society that-” my well rehearsed speech was cut short by a whimper coming from the shadows.

Rayne just seemed to hide behind me. “Who's there?” I asked without an answer.

“Hnnng. -splutter-” A teenage boy came into view, he was wearing a grey blood-stained shirt loosely although most of the grey seemed covered in a dark liquid, several of the top buttons to the shirt exposed the top of his torso which seemed intact, until I glanced up to his rippled neck. The guy stepped out of the dark shadows which occasionally blackened the corridors, his neck had been cut deeply. “Hel... -splutter- Hel....p”, “W-wha...” I was shocked, his eyes were bloodshot and showed no sign of sanity. I tried to scream but my diaphragm failed, producing nothing but a broken cry. “Run, Rayne!”, “Lyy-” I grabbed her hand and ran away from the poor guy, it's not like I had no intention of helping him but... there's noway there's another being in this building... It's my dream, only I can enter this place! It had to be a trick of the mind.

We managed to get away from the boy... well, he didn't make much effort to keep up in the first place. I just had to keep my cool, that's right. If I'm calm then I'll be able to think clearly. -Deep breaths- “Lynne is okay?” Rayne didn't seem too phased by this though, I guess it wasn't unusual considering where she's been the past few years. I glanced around at this moment, some sort of residue in the air contaminated the corridor as I stood directly in front of a No-Go-Room, “I really must think up a shorter name for them...”, “What's... this?” Rayne asked me with a calm, down to earth voice. “It's a bad room.”. It was pretty cold around here too, and if I could even take a breath big enough it was then that I'd notice the stench of rotten flesh, it's not a very nice smell to come across and will definitely stick to your senses for the next month at least.

“Let's just search the non-dangerous rooms, okay?” I wasn't sure if Rayne knew what the NGR's were, but I guess the huge X on the blood splattered door gave off a scary enough vibe not to touch it.

I began walking for a couple of yards before something came to my mind, “Hey... Rayne. Have you been here before?”... complete silence. I stopped in my tracks and could hear no footsteps other than my own, I twisted my body around to look behind me but saw nobody, the glow of light through the old uncatered windows beamed across the wall full of childrens drawings in chalk, blood, markers and other substances which I didn't want to think about. “Rayne.... Rayne?!” The darkness of the corridor unaffected by the light because dangerously black, I couldn't see her. That's when I decided to go look for her, she had to be close by, she was just by my side a second ago...
