Aubrey
“He WHAT?!” Megan screamed.
I took my iPhone away from my ears so that I didn’t lose my hearing.
“He asked me to a movie Friday.” I repeated.
“Just like that?” She asked.
I twirled my hair on my finger and smiled, “Yeah.”
“That’s amazing! I’m coming over to do your hair and makeup before FYI.” She informed me. Typical Megan.
“Alright now let me study so I don’t fail my test.” I laughed and hung up the phone.
“Okay in 1692 the Salem witch trials took place.” I recited as I paced back and forth in my room.
“And the leaders of Massachusetts were…damn it I know this.” I scolded myself and tapped my foot.
Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.
“I swear if this is Megan…” I grumbled as I walked over to my phone. I smiled when I saw the name on the caller ID and brushed the hair out of my face.
“Peaches.” I said as I clicked accept on the screen.
“Okay what’s with you and fruit?” Jacob asked.
“What? I like fruit!” I said and laughed.
“Okay whatever anyway, we have that test on Thursday and I need a study buddy.”
“Jacob Barber are you using me to get an A in history?” I asked and gasped.
“I confess, now come over tomorrow!” He yelled.
“Only if there are strawberries and whipped cream.” I pouted.
“Fruit, of course.” He chuckled. “Evan will take us.”
“Good Evan likes me! I can just tell.” I giggled.
“Yeah, he does.” Jacob said.
“Alright I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“If you want it all lay it on the line it’s the only life you got so you gotta live it big time.” I sang as I was making flash cards in the library. Since it was only me, why not enjoy a little Big Time Rush?
“Step it up, get in gear, go for broke, make it clear, gotta go big time.”
I tapped my hands on the desk to the beat of the song and closed my eyes rocking my body back and forth.
“Make it work get it right, change the world over night, gotta dream big time.”
I shook my little blue I-pod and another BTR song came on.
I stood up and blasted the sound full blast so that my ears were vibrating.
“Because the night is young the line is out the door today was crazy but tonight the city is ours.”
I continued to jam out to the rest of the song until it was over and I turned the volume down. My forehead was the slightest bit sweaty from the random dancing I was doing, but I didn’t mind.
“Oh. My. God.” I turned around to see Jacob and Evan hysterically laughing.
My mouth dropped and I could feel my cheeks burning with embarrassment.
“The city is ouuuuurrrsssss, the city is ouuuurrrsss!” Evan and Jacob mimicked at the same time.
“Stop it!” I yelled.
“Oh god my stomach! It kills.” Jacob yelled and was literally rolling on the floor laughing.
“God you sophomores are really something.” Evan said calmly lifting Jacob off of the ground.
