Alice's P.O.V

I walked to the library for study hall. Mrs. Todd- also known as Savannah- looked up and smiled at me kindly with her hazel eyes and nodded. I smiled back at her and headed to the fiction section of the library for homework and reading. I pulled out my homework from Calculus and finished the remaining questions I had left.

It was easy, so I pulled out my book, Raised By Wolves. I had a sick obsession of werewolves but who cares. I placed my earbuds and played my playlist. To Hell And Back by Woe Is Me starts to play. The song reaches me and plays my heart.

'I'm leaving the same way I came.

'It's looking forward but I can't see straight.'

I couldn't help but think of how I can't see straight when my father attacks me.

'It's just like I know where I'm going.'

I know where I was going: to death.

'It's just like me to fool myself.'

I play myself to that. I think that I'm going to get better, that my dad wouldn't beat me or my mom wasn't a whore. That I'd have a normal family. I fool myself.

'I'm right here bitch.'

As if on cue, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I cringed and stopped my music. I looked at the chair next to me, being drawn out and then tucked in with a muscular firm body along with it. My eyes traveled up to see who's face belonged to that body. It was that kid. The new one.

Dallas was introducing us with him when I bumped him. Think his name was Auduji. 'What an odd name.' I thought.

"Hiyah, Alice. Right? That is your name." He smiled, it reached his mixed blue/orange eyes.

I grabbed paper and pen and wrote down: 'Yes it is. What do you want?

He read it and smiled cheekily at me. Dimples appeared on either side of his cheeks. Deeply imprinted, kinda like Jamie' from Pierce The Veil. It was cute.

"Aren't you a blunt, little one?" He wiped his hair from his pale forehead.

'Yep, now what do you want?' I wrote back.

"Want to get to know you. Is that a crime?" He mocked hurt.

'Yes. You're under arrest. You have the right to remain silent.' I wrote to him, holding back a giggle.

He raised his hands in surrender while laughing quietly. "So are you silent by choice or born that way? You don't have to answer if you don't want too." He said but I knew he wanted the answer.

I thought about it. Was I born with it? Not really, but I was born into a family of abuse and it made me that way so I guess. And well I chose to be silent but I really didn't choose to be mute. My sub-conscious chose to make me this silent freak of nature. But I was mad he asked. He probably wanted to know so he could tell Sandra.

'Both.' I wrote back, but I bawled the paper up and threw it at him and packed my bag. I nodded at Mrs. Todd and left the room.

I heaved my bag over my shoulder. The bag hit my broken rib and I lost my breathe. My god that was painful. It felt like a jack hammer ramming you into a corner while the sledge hammer was brought down on you. It hurt. But I didn't make a sound. I got to my car and drove to get Camden.

Auduji's P.O.V

I watched my mate, Alice, get up and walk out. But not before leaving a nod at Savannah. I looked at Savannah with a confused look and shrugged. I unbuddled her note and it said 'both.' What the hell did that mean?

I walked up to Savannah and asked her about Alice.

"Oh Alice Walsh? The mute? She's a sweetheart. She has a rough past and maybe present. She has a bad family. Small town, everyone knows what. She has a pimp for a father and a prostitute for a mother. Her brother is a popular JV football player in Dale middle. She always has new scars and dark new bruises like she gets into a fight every other day.Won't be surprised if she does, that Sandra girl, the southern cheerleader, she and those football jocks likes to play with her physically. She leaves with bloody noses, but never had I seen her cry. She's a strong girl." Savannah smiled with pride as if she loved her as if she was her own.

"I'm guessing you've known her for a long time. How?" Curious how she knew my mate.

"I use to babysit her before her brother came around. Since then I haven't really been with her except when she comes into the library and thats often." She said with a sigh.

All I could say was 'oh' before thanking her and heading to class. I made my way to class. As I did, a blonde, tanned freckled face girl with brown eyes came up to me. She wore a cheer leading uniform on and her hair a sandy blonde.

"So... You're the new kid? Auduji Watts, right? What a cute face ya got. Especially your body." Her southern drawl hit my ears.

So this was Sandra. The girl who made my mates life a living hell. Disgusting. I sideswiped her and brushed her off. I heard a scoff and I smirked. During my walk away from Sandra, Dallas somehow caught up to me and smiled.

"What?" I asked, looking down at the red head.

"Nothing, just thinking Alice, you and I are going to be great friends." She beamed a white smile against her painted red lips.

I smiled back, "I think so too."

And I meant it.

Soo guys, what do you think? Boring huh? I thought so. I think I have Alice's personality down and Dallas. Anywhores enjoy my pervy weirdos:p
