I looked at my girlfriend, Avianna. She was crying, wrapped up in a blanket. "We can't go out, Max. We just can't." I stared at her grey eyes, shining with tears. "Yes we can. I could protect you, Avianna. I've killed those things before. I swear, I have. And I would not ever let one touch you." She shook her head. "I just can't believe this is happening...things used to be so normal." Things went silent between us, but that was interrupted. "THIS IS A WARNING! THIS MESSAGE IS BEING REPORTED FROM MAYVILLE SUITE. IF THERE ARE ANY SURVIVORS, MEET AT HUNT PANTRY. HUNT PANTRY! THANK YOU." That was a message, being recorded and blared over a siren.
"Should w-e go?" Avianna asked. "We should go. Right now - I know where Hunt Pantry is. I used to visit there all the time. That's where they fed the poor.. but, anyways. Let's go." I grabbed her hand and brought her up. She brought the blanket with her. I clenched her hand as tight as I possibly could. "Be quiet..and don't let go."
Together, we snook outside of our crappy hide out. There were a few walkers outside. "Ignore them." I whispered. She nodded as we began our way to Hunt Pantry.
