We had just arrived at the pantry. After we did, it soon began to rain outside. The pantry was covered-every inch of the floor had cots on it. It appeared as if there were a thousand people there.

Suddenly, a big guard swiped in front of us. "Have you been bitten, scratched, touched or harmed, by the walkers?" He asked in a deep voice. "No, we haven't. We are fine." "Ok then. You may enter."

We claimed a cot that was not surrounded by people, just one little girl. I peered over the little girl laying on a cot, shivering and clutching a stuffed teddy bear. "Hi there," cooed Avianna. "Where's your mom?" She asked. The child shrugged. "Mommy told me to run here. Mommy is gone now." "Do you have a daddy?" She shook her head 'no'.

I looked over again - this time, every one was laying on their cots. There were millions. At every door, 2 guards stood with guns, glancing at the windows every moment. I knew we were safe, but I still found it uneasy - I was even scared.

I stared at the ceiling for about half an hour, but it was not boring at all. It was hard to think something was boring - when your life was at risk every second."Max," Avianna gently shoved me. "I'm going to share a cot with her - her name is Lila and she's 4 years old. Ok? We'll be on the cot next to you." I nodded. "Goodnight, everyone. If you snore, we recommend you go to the second floor and sleep up there. Thank you. Lights out." The whole place suddenly went dark. But it was still silent. Silent, except for the groans of killers we'd heard outside.I heard a low grumble from the crowd. "...them. It's scaring me, this place can't be safe! You know what? I'll just pay them. Two million for them to take us to a safe island. I will do so tomorrow. Night."

That person was clearly dumb - money meant nothing in this world... you could just steal anything you wanted, or more importantly needed.I shut my eyes and went to sleep.

I woke up suddenly and looked around. There were walkers swarming the place. And my heart shattered as I saw Avianna being killed. "No..." I mumbled. I was the only one left... should I run?

I gasped. Then I realized, thank God, it was all a dream...phew. I shook my head and forgot the image. I scooted my cot closer to Avianna's-if it wasn't close enough. I wrapped my arm around her , making sure she was ok and nothing could happen to her. Again, I closed my eyes.
