For- Jay_Davis
Jayvonna sat on the bench anxiously waiting to be subbed into the game. While looking around the court, she spotted her favorite basketball player, Anthony Davis. While staring at him, Coach Valentino called her name.
"Jay, your in!"
She smiled. This was her time to show what she was all about.
The young woman grabbed the ball. She took it and dribbled it between her legs. The woman who guarded her began to play rough defense, becoming frustrated, the woman pushed her. The Ref decided that he wasn't going to call a foul, and the home team became angry, especially Jayvonna.
"Ref, did you not see that?"
He pretended not to hear her.
"Why'd you push me?!" Jayvonna called out at the girl.
"Ugh quit bitching, I barely touched you!"
"Whatever! Answer my question, why'd you push me?!"
Growing frustrated once again, the young woman clenched her fist and swung on Jayvonna. They began to fight on the court. It got pretty bad. The referee blew his whistle and pointed toward the two girls.
"Number 12 and Number 5, you're ejected!"
Jayvonna's heart dropped.
"Are you serious?!"
She stormed off into the locker room. To say that the young woman was heated was an understatement. Taking deep breaths, she heard footsteps. Slowly turning around, she saw Anthony Davis. He had been her basketball crush since highschool. Jayvonna couldn't believe she was this close to him.
"Um, how'd you get back here?" She said nervously.
"I snuck back here," he chuckled.
"That was a pretty brutal fight, are you okay?"
She looked down.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine."
Anthony sat next to her.
"Look, when you're out there in the court you can't let small things get to you. Just go out there and play the game you love."
"Thanks." She smiled.
He put his hand on her shoulder.
"I don't know if this is an good idea but, do you wanna go get ice cream or something?"
Her heartbeat sped up.
"Huh, wait, me and you, go get ice cream?"
He laughed.
"Yeah, your names Jayvonna right?"
"Yeah." She blushed heavily.
"Well, let's go."
He stuck his hand out for her to grab and she gladly grabbed it. The two went to Dairy Queen and shared an Banana Split.
"We should hang out more."
Jayvonna put a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Yeah, we should."
"Well, I've gotta get you back to your dorm."
They drove back to the University. He took her phone and put his number in.
"Call me."
Getting back in her room, Jayvonna couldn't believe what just happened.
