Ryleigh sat on her bed listening to music, her blonde curly hair in a messy bun, just chilling. When her favorite song came on, it cut off quickly due to her best friend Devin calling her.
"Hello?"
"Hey Ryleigh..what are you doing?"
"Same thing I do everyday, listening to music..."
"Well I'm coming over."
"You can't just announce that you're coming over like that."
"Are you busy?"
"No."
"Then I'm on my way."

Devin laid on her bed fiddling with a stuffed animal.
"You smell good." She told him.
"Thanks."
"You smell good too."
"Thank you Devin."
They sat there in silence, just staring at each other. Ryleigh got lost in Devin's dark brown eyes. The boy was cute, and she wanted to tell him how she felt, but the young woman couldn't build up the courage to tell him. She pulled out her phone and got on snapchat.
"Hey, let's take a picture for snapchat."
"Okay."
They took the cutest picture and she captioned it, "Chilling with this cutie😍."
"Let me see it." Devin tried to grab her phone.
"No." Ryleigh jerked away not wanting him to see the caption, but what she had forgot was that Devin was her friend on the picture-taking app.
"Fine, I'll just go check your story."
Her heart fluttered.
"You think I'm cute?"
Ryleigh's face turned bright red and butterflies swarmed her stomach.
"Maybe."
"Well, I think you're pretty cute too. I never thought I'd be asking you this....but, will you be my girlfriend cutie?"
"Yes." Her face lit up and she gave Devin a hug.

"So...our first date!" She called out.
"Yeah, I knew this was one of your favorite restaurants, so I had to bring you here."
"Thank you."
Devin's face was glowing due to the candle that was lit. She couldn't help but stare at him.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" He blushed.
"Cause your cute!"
They both smiled at each other. This relationship was going to last for awhile.
