My friends absolutely love these. I sometime end up with my friends dropping by with the ingredients to make a batch for them so that they can have some at their apartment and they don't have to come to my dorm every time they get the craving.
To make these wonderful peanut butter chocolate goodies you will need ......
medium sized mixing bowl, a microwave safe bowl, cookie sheet covered with aluminum foil OR a 9x13 cake pan, wooden spoon, Ziplock bags, a coffee cup, and a butter knife.
- 2 Cups creamy peanut butter (1 16 oz jar)
- 1 Cup graham cracker crumbs (1 sleeve of crushed graham crackers)
- 4 Tablespoons melted butter (or margarine)
- 2 cups powdered sugar (the original recipe says 1 lb but that is WAY to much, if you would like to add more be my guest I usually just use 2 cups)
- 12 oz milk chocolate chips
To crush the graham crackers into crumbs, put a few in a Ziploc bag and crush with the coffee cup until there is only really small pieces. Place in the medium mixing bowl and mix with the peanut butter and the melted butter. Slowly add the powdered sugar until it is no longer gooey but don't make it so dry that it starts to crumble (if you do just add more peanut butter or butter and mix really well). Press evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan OR press into desired shapes and place on a foil covered cookie sheet. Melt chocolate and thoroughly cover the peanut butter mixture. Refrigerate until the chocolate has hardened. Enjoy :)
* if you put it in a pan instead of making bite size pieces of it you need to cut the mixture after you put the chocolate on but before you refrigerate it or it is gonna come out as hard as a brick and you wont be able to cut it.
