Jack relaxed into marks couch. Eyes closed and a blissful expression on his face as he listened to his freinds argue about what game to play.

" I Wanna play SpeedRunners!" Mark whined,

"Why not play Little big planet?"

"'Cause I don't waanaa"

"But I wanna play Little big Planet!"

"I'm sick of that game,"

"Well, I like it!"

Mark then proceeded to stick his tongue out playfully at Wade. He retaliated by making a silly face.

"Children please, " Bob sighed.

"Why don't we play Grand Theft Auto, or Prop hunt?" Jack suggested, a small smile on his face. He knew his friends' bickering were in good spirits.

"We can't play Grand Theft Auto 'Cause there's only one Xbox." Bob stated to the group.

"Prop hunt?" Jack prompted

"I don't have the set up I'd need to play that game." Bob replied.

The others sighed, they had actually liked Jacks suggestions.

"Well, what else can we play?" Wade asked looking quite curious, his bickering with Mark temporarily forgotten.

Jack couldn't help but let out a peaceful sigh, He honestly didn't care what game they were playing, as long as they played it together. Honestly Jack was thinking about sitting out, for he was so comfortable. Limbs melting into the fluffy couch surface. He stretched, then relaxed once again. He never noticed how quiet it got.

"Wow, Jack, You honestly look like a cat, all stretched out like that."

"Hey you rhymed!" Wade commented.

Bob face palmed.

No one noticed how jack tensed up for a quick second.

"Look I saw this new cool looking game on steam, I was thinking maybe we could try that out. It's not multiplayer, but it has a setting where you can replay a few specific levels so we can try to beat eachothers' scores."

"That actually sounds quite fun..." Mark commented

"I'M IN!" Wade added.

"Sure, why not?" Jack commented absentmindedly.

"It's settled then."

"Great!" Mark exclaimed as Bob logged onto his steam so he could buy and download the game.

"Mmm thanks for taking one for the team bob!" Wade commented

Bob smiled at the praise. Or it could have been that he was happy about the
game starting to download. Probably both.

As the game downloaded Jacks mind couldn't help but wander. He thought about his experiences and the reactions of his loved ones and friends at home. His parents had been supportive, like most parents are, but the confusion was still there. The reason for that being that He was born with cat like appendages, including brown cat ears, a brown tail, retractable claws, heightened senses and catlike eyes that he hid with contacts. Once past the confusion of their son being born with cat appendages, his parents had taught him he was special, they had taught him he was different, but that it was okay to be different. For that he was extremely grateful. His classmates however told a different story. A story of which gave him nightmares for years after. A story that told him he was a freak, not human, something that should be experimented on and kept locked up, they were the ones that taught him to hide who he was and what he was born with. He shuddered as the memories returned to him. He forced the memories away, reminding himself he was among friends.
