Chapter Two: Just Like That
Celeana almost leapt onto the wide walkway that led into the plane, features tingling with raw excitement as she fidgeted restlessly under her psychiatrist's watchful eye.
"Is this the plane?" she asked, pointing at the large white structure in front of them.
Laughing, the woman nodded and wrapped a firm hand around the child to stop her from jumping around. "Yep," she confirmed. "To think you almost got on the plane to Kanto when we first came."
The teenager gave what almost looked like a childish pout, pushing a hand to her head to keep her long bangs from flying into his eyes. "It's not my fault," she protested. "I've never been to an airport before, so I didn't know how to read the board."
Miss Enya raised an eyebrow in concern. "Let's just hope you'll learn about those when you go on your journey."
With that, they proceeded onto the platform, entering the sizeable vehicle. It wasn't the most luxurious— the hospital and researchers that took care of her did not prioritise that— but it was comfortable. It looked less daunting on the inside, with a much smaller interior that was packed with several leather seats.
Celeana sank down into her chair, surprised at how small she felt in it. They had arrived pretty early, by her insistence, and the plane was comfortable with its dim lights, filled with the muffled sounds of footsteps shuffling to and fro.
She kept a firm grip on the Pokeball on her belt— she didn't know if Froakie enjoyed being in the air or not, and she was determined to keep her Pokemon safe.
Miss Enya had picked up a magazine, and she'd laid it across her patient's lap, using the smooth, steady voice of hers to explain and point out each landmark, causing the teenager to listen in rapt attention.
"Dear passengers," a voice boomed out, and Celeana suddenly became aware of the silence in the atmosphere giving way to a pleasant cacophony of miscllaneous chatter, the lights brightening to reveal the plane fully seated. "We will be taking off in a few minutes. Please fasten your seatbelts and wait for takeoff. I repeat—"
Fumbling with the thick grey strap, the girl tried her best to secure it, jamming the strip of material into the accompanying lock.
"Just relax," Miss Enya reassured, noticing her tense face.
With that, she forced herself to exhale, leaning back into her seat as the plane gave an abrupt jerk before taking off with an ungainly grunt.

"Celeana, stop staring at the sky."
Miss Enya's voice wasn't annoyed, but Celeana snapped away from the unbroken sea of blue, turning to face her psychiatrist with a curious look.
"We're passing over the ocean surrounding Hoenn now," she informed. "You should look down— the view is amazing."
The teenager dared to shift her wary gaze downwards, but the sight that awaited her evaporated any trace of hesitance she might have had.
When the clouds broke and parted to reveal the earth below, it was a sight of pure astonishment— like a peaceful child under her puffy duet. From so high up, every home was like an autumn leaf lying gently on the Earth. Around them sprouted the lush green of the trees and the roads shining like silvery stems on a frosted morning.
Celeana glanced at the huge canvas of land that spread beneath them like a living map, a network of roads, trails and forests peeking through huge canopies of forests.
