Elias Chapter Six
"Who?" I asked, my mind still racing, heart still pounding. God damn, I can't remember shit. I wanted to run my hand through hair to relieve my frustration. Damn these chains. What the fuck is going on...
"I just said who!" Sam screamed in my direction. The words hit me like a slap in the face. Damn. I was just asking who is everyone. Don't have to be a dick.
"Sam, calm down!" Bria screamed right back.
"What's going on...?" I knew that voice..
"Zoe?" I asked into the darkness, hot tears already stinking my eyes as they build up in my waterline. No... Not my sister... Not Zoe...
"...Elias?" She hesitated before speaking, my name being said sadly, knowingly.
"Fuck!" I shouted, pounding my fists against the concrete floor. I felt the rusty cuffs burrowing their way deeper into my flesh. I saw Zoe flinch in the dim light of the broken window.
"You all need to call the fuck down." A guy said calmly. I squinted against the darkness to see who could possibly be so calm. They were big, their arms making them seem bigger as they sat up against the wall.
"Ryan?" I asked, surprise obvious in my voice.
"Yeah," Was all he said. Shit... Where's Ashley?
"Oh.." All of us but Ryan said, knowing what he was going to ask next.
"Where's Ash?" He finally asked, mocking my fading thoughts. His voice didn't sound so strong and touch now.
"She's over here by me," Another voice piped up. Reyna?
"By who?" He asked automatically, relief flooding his voice.
"Brook," Another girl said. "And this is Maddy." She sounded amazingly calm too. What the fuck? Too calm for Maddy.
"Maddy?!" One of my friends cried out, their chains jingling.
"Justin!" Maddy cried back.
