Puppy

It's a nice day. The sun is shining brighter than usual. The girl is back in the sand village, visiting Eddie and Aleks. They're sitting in a booth at a quiet restaurant. Though it's hot, the girl wears black jeans with a red hoodie and red sneakers, an uncommon outfit in general. She keeps her hood up.

The Sand Siblings and their partners take a seat in the booth across the isle, taking no notice of the girl. Shikamaru casually puts his arm around Temari and Kankuro kisses Kiba's head. Gaara does not have a partner.
(I ship Kiba and Kankuro so hard that it makes my heart hurt.)

"Puppy?" Eddie whines, his stomach growling. The five across the isle pause their conversation, contemplating the word 'puppy.'

"What?" This makes the five across the isle contemplate harder, because someone replied to the name 'Puppy.'

"I want more ramen," Eddie informs the girl, dragging out the 'a' and then the 'e,' sounding rather childish.

"Congratulations." This makes Kankuro snicker softly. "Get yourself more ramen." The girl smiles softly at Eddie. The girl has always taken good care of her teeth, so they're perfectly straight and shiny white. They're almost as shiny as Might Guy's teeth.

"But I don't have any money left," Eddie lies. The girl knows this is a lie. "Please Puppy? Please please please? Puppy? C'mon, please?" He is now begging.

The five across the table all glance over as the girl slowly stands. "You're a loser." Then she's off to the counter to fetch Eddie more ramen as a silent 'thank you' for giving her a purpose. I owe him anyways. Not like I need this money myself. Besides, I feel people looking at me. I have to get out. I can't make a scene.

Eddie smiles and watches as she walks away, then glances at the five across the isle. He recognizes Kankuro because they went to school together. He and Kankuro are both 18. Aleks, Gaara, Kiba, Shikamaru, and the girl are 16. Temari is 19, but doesn't see the problem in dating Shikamaru, though he's three years younger than her. See you later, Eddie. Aleks. Let's go Aga.

"Hey Kankuro! Never thought I'd see you here!" Eddie giggles his greeting. Aleks glances at his boyfriend and then over at Kankuro.

"Hey there Eddie. Long time no see." Kankuro returns a friendly smile. "Hi Aleks." Aleks nods a hello. Kankuro introduces his siblings to Eddie and Aleks.

Eddie is smiling wide now. He's always happy to bump into old friends. "It's nice to meet you all." The next moment, there's a bowl of steaming hot ramen at the table with a note attached that Aleks quickly pulls off. "What's it say, Aleks?"

Aleks reads the note to himself then out loud to Eddie. "Here's your ramen, loser. I have some business to take care of but I'll be back in a few days. Until then. Bye." Aleks looks up at Eddie, who's frowning slightly.

"How'd the bowl get there?" Kiba asks, now curious. One minute the girl was at the counter, and now she's gone. Her scent is gone too.

"She's quick. Y'know, I don't understand how she always has business to take care of." Eddie pouts at the note. "It's not fair."

"Who is she?" Gaara had been silent up until now. He observed the girl as she walked to the counter and in the blink of an eye she truly had vanished. Shukaku was throwing a fit inside of Gaara and forced him to ask.

"She's an old friend," Aleks answers quickly. We can't give them too much information. She'll be angry at us. It's best to get out before they ask anything else. "Anyways, we should get going. We have training to do." Eddie nods an agreement, quickly devouring the ramen the girl had gotten for him.

"Bye guys, and Temari. Nice to meet you all!" Eddie giggles out his goodbye as Aleks drags him out of the restaurant.

"That girl just disappeared. How peculiar," Shikamaru comments, seeming deep in thought. After that, she isn't mentioned again.

Shukaku is still throwing a fit. He still has her scent and he wants Gaara to follow her. Gaara silently argues with the sand demon until Shukaku gives up. The demon has never been so upset over a girl before.

Gaara can't help but wonder what Shukaku knows about the girl.

Now we're starting to kind of have a plot. I promise I'll get better at this over time. It's going to be following an actual obvious plot soon and there'll be some action and fighting and loving. Thanks for reading!
