➺CHAPTER THREE

Jae's pov

During lunch, Haneul and I sat together under the tree since Kayla will be joining us. It's been a long since the three of us get to have lunch together.

'Sorry guys, last minute work, can't make it. Really sorry! We'll hang out during the weekend!' I read the text aloud that Kayla sent to me. Well it can't be helped and moreover she's a year younger than us so we don't really get to spend the time together in school.

"So, it seems like we're on a date." Haneul teased me.

"Fine I'll leave." I joked along.

"No, stay please." He pouted.

"I'm just kidding, of course I'm staying here with you."

3rd person pov

Little did the two bestfriends know, Sehun is actually glancing over them once in a while. He felt that Jae and him have been growing apart a little.

"Wah, if only I could date in school like that too." Lay commented as he saw Haneul and Jae together.

Kai saw Haneul keeps on stealing Jae's food and commented, "and if only I could steal my girlfriend's food like that."

Sehun, of course, he's feeling jealous watching Haneul and Jae together acting like that.

Soon after Sehun saw Jae rushing off to somewhere else, he got up to find her. He rushed to her class and asked her classmates if she stopped by here. But Sehun got the answer he wasn't expecting for so he went to the clinic.

Haneul's pov

I just got the message from Jae saying that she needs a pad. I quickly packed my lunchbox and sprinted back to the classroom and took out a pad from my bag and placed it inside my pocket. I heard the girls whispering about me being a pervert since I have a pad in my bag but I ignored it and ran to the girls toilet.

I slowly went inside. A girl from my class almost screamed but I quickly signalled her to keep quiet and took out the pad. I guess she understood me and let me did my thing.

"Yah are you here?" I kicked the cubicle that is occupied.

"Throw it over!" She shouted.

I threw it over and I think it landed on her face since I heard her silently cursing at me. The girl that was here a while ago already left. I waited for her and leaned against her door.

I didn't realise that she unlocked the door which caused me to fall backwards and the door, hit her head. Again, she's silently cursing at me. Girls on period.

Sehun's pov

I waited for Jae at her seat when I heard a few of her classmates talking.

"Did you saw Haneul in the girls toilet just now? He keeps a pad in his bag." Girl A talked.

"Huh? Pad? A note pad?" Boy A said, confused.

"A pad, the girls use when they have their periods." Girl B said, the one who I assumed, just came back from the toilet.

"I think it's for Jae." Girl A said.

"Why would he keep one? It's embarrassing..." Boy B said.

"Oh, Haneul came into the girls toilet just now. I was about to screamed but he showed me the pad and threw it to Jae who's inside." Girl B said.

"Yes! That's the man we're talking about!" I guess the whole class overheard their conversation and clapped when Jae and Haneul entered the classroom.

"The man who brings a pad for his girl! Let's give him another round of applause!"

Haneul thanked his friends and Jae just looked embarrassed.

"What are you doing here?" Jae asked me.

"Ah, I saw you rushing off, I thought something happened to you."

"Oh."

"Wanna walk home together later?"

"Haneul and I are practicing for the graduation ceremony. What about tomorrow?"

"I have a dance practice with-" I wasn't finish with my sentence.

"Then we'll just see when we're both free next time. I'll see you around."

"Right. I just missed you, a lot." I whispered so that only she could hear but I think Haneul overheard it.

She just gave me a smile and I left as her teacher already came.

Jae's pov

"Haneul! Detention after school," The teacher announced to the whole class and they laughed.

"What? Why?" Haneul asked innocently.

"You entered the girls toilet."

"She needed help." He pointed towards me. Idiot.

"I know your damsel's in distress but you could have asked one of you female classmates to give it to her."  The teacher said calmly.

After school had ended Haneul walked to the detention room and I plugged in my earpiece and went into the music room to use the piano. However, the room is used for after school activities so I went to the dance room since there's also a piano there.

I went into the dancing room just next door and saw exo and the girl...? I left quietly. Well, I never knew her name and I didn't bother to ask Sehun also...

So that leaves me with the school hall. I practiced for a while before going back home.

I took the bus home since neither Haneul nor Sehun will be walking home with me.

I board the bus and sat at a single seat at the back. I looked at the dim screen of my lock screen. It's a picture of me and Sehun.

I just can't stand it whenever he's with her. It makes me feel so frustrated and stuffy for some reason.

I realised someone had texted me but I chose to ignore it since I'm not in the mood. But my phone keeps on vibrating because of the spam text.

I looked at it and realise they were from Sehun.

'Hey Babe, are you mad at me?'
'Are you angry?'
'Check your phone please'
'Babyyyyyyyyyyy'
'Don't ignore me please'
'I need love here'
'Hello there beautiful!'
And some other lame things.

I sighed and replied back, 'I'm not mad. Aren't you suppose to be practising?'

'It's done actually. Why didn't you tell me you're going home alone? Where's Haneul?'

'He had detention and I'm fine going home by myself.'

'You should have texted me to tell you're done so that I could send you home'

'I didn't want to bother you.'

I just wanna go home and sleep and not think about Sehun and the girl. Like you tend to overthink when you have your period and it really sucked so bad.

Sehun's pov

'I really missed you' I was about to send her but she already kept her phone inside her pocket. She didn't realise I was sitting behind her all along.

I alighted the same stop as her and I followed her. Of course, I was wearing a mask to cover so that people wouldn't notice me. I walked behind her. I feel like I'm her stalker.

Even from the back, she looks unusually sad. I mean I'm always used to her cheerful sides and it feels kind of heartbreaking to see her like this.

After seeing her enter her house, I left.
