My eyes slowly opened and closed again right after to adjust to the light. I sat up from laying on the couch, it was bright the sun was shining through the windows into my eyes because of this I could already tell I was late of school. I got up and checked my phone, 11:25am. Last night I unpacked somethings and fell asleep on the couch. I walked over to the fridge and opened it hoping to find something, I grabbed a yogurt and some blueberries.
After eating I had to do what I have been dreading, I grabbed the mop and hot water. I walked over to the pantry and moped up the blood. After I had to call my mothers work to say there had been an accident so she would need to get time off.
When I got off the phone I knew everything was going to be different, I was going to have to try to stay in school, have a job, pay for the house and food then after all of that take care of my mentally and physically sick mother. she will be in the hospital for a couple months then get to come home and be on bed rest for awhile.
My mind kept spinning and I was alone with my thoughts, my awful thoughts.
I ran upstairs and changed into some workout clothes, and went for a ran. I ran four blocks to a little park, I started walking over to the bench to sit down. There was something there, maybe someone. It was in all black curled up laying on the bench. I walked up to the bench,
"um excu-"
I got interrupted
"I'm trying to sleep"
said a very familiar male voice.
"Bobbie?"
the person sat up and sure enough it was Bobbie,
"oh hey"
he said scooting over so I could sit,
"why are you sleeping at the park?"
I asked,
"well life sucks"
"I know what you mean"
I chuckled.
"why aren't you at school?"
he asked avoiding my question,
"long night, answer my question though"
he looked down at the ground.
"my mom kicked me out"
he said with his eyes glued to the ground,
I had an idea, an amazing life saving idea.
"well I have an idea,"
I said with a smile,
he looked up
"what?"
"well shit has happened and I basically own a house but it's expensive, so you move in and help pay rent"
he made a strange face as if I was crazy,
"for real, I'm not crazy! I need to keep this house, get a job, go to school and pay bills."
I said trying to convince him,
"can I see the house first?"
I agreed and we walked four blocks to my place.
we walked around the house and he agreed to help me.
He would have his own room and bathroom, he would get a job and so would I. The rest of my day was spent job surfing and taking to Bobbie about rules and such.
After a long day I still haven't found a job but many things were getting done. Bobbie was going to talk to his mom and move in tomorrow. I laid down in bed and ran through my thoughts.
Things were going alright today I still haven't cried about my mom but that didn't bother me. I was to busy to cry, I have growing up to do. Bobbie is going to help a lot and we are both going to get jobs and stay in school, I told him about my mom and he told me his father killed himself when he was 12.  Bobbie was still really hot to me and I thought he was super nice but he has a girlfriend which he has yet to mention. Bobbie was strictly a roommate-business decision.
I closed my eyes and the next time I opened then it was from my 6am alarm. I got up and walked through the door to the bathroom, I took my dirty clothes off reached my arm into the shower and turned the knob on warm. I got in the shower, washed my body and hair then shaved. I finished getting ready and went downstairs it was 7 o'clock. I reached in the fridge and there was barely anything in there. I got a yogurt and a spoon and started eating. When I finished I walked out the door to see Bobbie walking up the driveway.
"Hey"
he said as I looked at him with a confused look,
"thought we could walk to school"
he said walking up to me.
"ok sounds good, you're mom cool with you living with me?"
I asked curiously,
he nodded and said yeah,
the whole way to school we talked about California and our childhood stories.
When we got into school a skinny blonde twig ran up to Bobbie smiling and waving.
Bobbie stopped and I kept walking to my locker, I looked back to see that Bobbie and this girl we're arguing.
The day went on and the last bell rang at the end of last period.
