My name was at the bottom of the list. It stood out in clear, bold letters. I had completely forgot about all of the other names and stared at mine. It was there. And I was worth fifteen million dollars.

"What kind of sick joke is this?" I angrily asked. They all looked at me, not saying a single word. "Answer me!"

"It isn't a joke, Stella," Scott began. "Your name is on this list for a reason. What are you?"

I struggled to say something. Everything seemed to be spinning. "I'm not anything. I'm just a human. Whoever made this list is mistaken. I'm not a monster." I got up from the couch and nearly fainted. Scott caught me right before I fell to the ground. Everything was blurry and my head hurt. "Scott, what's going on? I can't see anything."

"I think she's having a panic attack," Lydia said from across the room. "Calm her down; I'll bring her some water."

Scott picked me up and put me on the couch. His face was distorted and I couldn't make anything out. I saw Stiles's body move towards us, but I couldn't see his face.

Lydia came over with a glass of water and a pill. "Stick this in her mouth, it'll calm her down." She handed Stiles the cup and looked at me. "Stella, listen to me. I'm going to give you a pill. It's like a Xanax, okay? It'll calm you down, don't worry."

I nodded my head as she motioned for Stiles to give me the water. My vision was still a bit blurry but it was a lot clearer. Stiles handed me the glass and pill. I put it in my mouth and swallowed the water, not stopping until the water was all gone. By the time I was done drinking, my vision went back to normal.

"I don't understand why my name is here," I said, my voice nearly cracking when I looked at my name. "I'm telling you I'm just some normal girl who moved around a lot."

Lydia sat down next to me and began rubbing my back before saying, "That's exactly how we all felt when we first realized we were different. Nobody ever knows why they're a werewolf or a banshee or some other supernatural creature. We can help you, though. It's clear Violet and Garrett knew all about you since she said it herself. There are other assassins out there but we'll protect you. Right guys?"

I looked up at them and Scott had a reassuring smile on his face. "Of course we will. But first we need to find out what she is. Have you had any weird things happen to you?"

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused by his question.

"Like super strength, claws, anything?"

I tried remembering everything I've done while in Beacon Hills. I thought about all of the times I was attacked and all of the times I wasn't. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't come up with a time I displayed supernatural powers.

"None. Sorry."

"Wait," Stiles said from across the room. "Do you remember anything from the night Violet attacked you?"

My eyes widened a bit at the mention of her name, "No. I don't remember what happened after the whole ordeal was done. I actually don't have much memory from that night at all."

"Well," Scott began, "Liam told us what happened. You kissed him. But it wasn't a normal kiss. He tried denying it but when you looked at him he said he felt something. He couldn't exactly put his finger on it, but he felt like he had no control over his body. Almost like you were the one in control and he wasn't."

I stayed silent, listening intently. Liam never really told me what happened, only that we kissed. This was news to me.

"He said it was almost like a mirage staring at you. Like his mind felt completely nonexistent."
