The outbreak scare at school had passed as fast as it had begun. Stiles told me it was another assassin. He apparently snuck his way as a proctor for the test and had spread a sickness that was designed to kill people like us.

"These assassins are legitimately getting craftier every new attempt they make to kill you all. What's next, poisoning the water system to destroy our innards?" I asked Stiles. We sat on his porch, the sun slightly covered by gray clouds.

"I don't know, but I need you to be careful. Anybody can be an assassin I mean were Garrett and Violet even real teenagers? Anybody can be an assassin." He tapped his feet rhythmically on the ground. Stiles said he needs me to be careful. It warmed my heart a bit to know that Stiles cared about me. Being new, I didn't think I was on anyone's radar. But then again, being on the list meant we were all on the same boat. We needed to stay together and protect each other.

"We can't let these assassins win. Scott will protect us, right?"

"Yes. Scott always knows what to do," he said while smiling. "Kira, Malia, Liam, and even I will protect you. Just like how you'll protect us. We stick together no matter what. And Scott is our leader. He'll put your life ahead of his."

"But what if he can't? What if something bad happens to one of us and don't make it?"

"Listen, we've lost a few friends here and there," he looks at the ground as he says this. He stays silent for a few moments, probably mourning them. "It won't happen again."

I wondered how it felt. Losing someone close to you. Murdered by an unnatural force. Shuddering at the slightest thought of losing Liam, I rested my head on Stiles's shoulder. "I'm glad I'm apart of the pack. That's what werewolves have right? Packs?"

"Whoa, I never said you were officially apart of the pack. It's up to Scott anyways."

Sucking my teeth, I stood up and asked, "Is there some sort of initiation? Like jumping off of a cliff or eating a squirrel?"

"Ew. No, there isn't an initiation. This isn't some frat or sorority. It's just up to Scott to decide whether you're in or not." Stiles snapped.

"Well I think I'd be a perfect addition to the pack. I'm young, cute, and a bad ass."

Stiles scoffed before saying, "I think all of those are one hundred percent false. Nice try though."

________

The day went by slowly. Liam was busy at Scott's. He told me they were planning something big but he couldn't tell me. The secrecy with that pack intrigued me. I wondered if maybe Scott would let me into his pack. Being like them might grant me access into their pack. But Stiles was right: it was up to him to decide whether I deserve to be in the group or not.

"I know you're anxious to do something, but Scott has to decide whether you're ready or not." I read the text message Liam sent me.

"but isn't being supernatural a reason I should be included in the pack?"

"If we were to let in every supernatural person in Beacon Hills, our pack would be huge. Just give it time. I'll put in the good word for you, I promise. I gotta go, I love you very much."

"love you too. Be careful and don't do anything dumb."

Groaning, I tossed my phone behind me. What was a girl to do on a Saturday while her boyfriend was busy running off with his werewolf and fox buddies? Mason was away visiting his family a few hours away and my mother was working.

"How in the world can my life be both exciting and boring?" I said aloud to myself. "Can something exciting happen to me like right now?"

And no sooner after I said that, I heard my front door being smashed open. I gasped as I looked towards the door to see a man with blonde hair run into my house. He was carrying two stick-like weapons with a strange design on them. He wore all black, a complete contrast to his pale skin. When we made eye contact, he smiled in the most sinister way I've ever seen a man smile, almost like a predator finally catching up to its prey after a long chase.

"Hello Stella. Are you ready to die?"

Ok so this was a crappy filler. I've been busy with vacation as well as college stuff so sorry for that long delay. I'm gonna get back into the flow of things and try to catch up considering my story is like a season or two behind. Happy reading!
