When I felt Athanasius's fangs sinking into my neck I kind of panicked. But then I remembered what we had just said about trust.
I did trust him so I let my panic subside.
At first it was slightly painful, like a pinching but then in a couple seconds the pain disappeared. It was replaced with absolute pleasure.
I slightly gasped as my back arched and I shut my eyes tightly. Pleasure ran through my whole body. He then slowly removed his fangs from my neck, the feeling fading away.
My breathing was heavy as I opened my eyes and looked at him.
He smiled and kissed my forehead. "Thank you for trusting me."
"What just happened though?" I asked.
"Well, I just fed a little from you. Not for my sake, just because it feels good for you."
"So essentially, in order to pleasure me you just drank my blood?" I asked to clarify.
"Yes, a tiny bit. I wasn't going to take anymore than I needed for you."
I blushed. "How are you able to . . . Stop just like that?"
"Because, loads of vampires lack restraint and then they turn into blood-thirsty, ravenous beasts." He leaned his head back onto my neck where he placed a soft kiss on it. "I had a thousand years to learn restraint," he whispered on my neck, sending shivers down my spine.
I tensed up, full of desire for the man in front of me.
Athanasius's Point of View
I could feel a mixture of emotions radiating off her, lust and hesitation.
"It's pretty late now. I should probably get going," she said, leaning up.
Her hair was messy and she had color in her cheeks. She looked beautiful.
I frowned. "So soon?"
She nodded. "Marina will worry."
Curse that woman. I sighed then nodded. "Very well."
I placed my hand on the small of her back and then walked her home.

After I had walked Day home, I returned to the building I called home.
Her face with engraved in my mind, her utter natural beauty was ethereal. She was not perfect, and that was what I liked about her the most.
I pushed the button that was for the main dining room. I exited the elevator and walked towards the large, gothic dining table where my family was seated.
"Ah, son. How nice it is to see you." My father grinned at me and indicated for one of the servants to get me a glass of wine.
There sat my mother and father, the most powerful vampires currently.
Then there was my two sisters and five brothers.
"Why do you smell like . . . A human?" One of my brothers, Dain, asked while wrinkling his nose.
One of my sisters, Victoria, snickered. "He probably picked a human whore to mess around with, Dain. What else?" He rolled her eyes.
I tightened my hands on my silverware, vexed.
