*Important Note*: I wanted to recap Athanasius's siblings because I believe I had posted that chapter a while ago and just in case :)

He has two sisters: Victoria and Sybil. He is closest to Sybil out of all his siblings

He has three brothers: His youngest brother Dain, His middle brother Acaichos (pronounced Ah-Kay-Cose), and his eldest brother Xenox (pronounced Zen-Ox)

Enjoy! Love you guys! :)

Athanasius's Point of View

As the sun began to emit its rays across the city, casting shadows from the tall skyscrapers, I knew I had to head back to our building.

I practically dragged my feet towards the tall building. I did not find her. But wait . . . Maybe someone else had found her!

I then began to feel a flutter of hope ignite in my chest, picking up the pace to the building.

As I got out of the elevator, I ran towards the living room. I felt nervousness pulse through my body as I looked, hoping to see the woman I had loved standing there.

I took a deep breath as I walked into the room, and stopped. I looked all around for her beautiful face. All I saw were my family's pensive and crestfallen facial expressions. She wasn't there.

I felt my heart stop beating. My chest ached, a physically dull but rather mentally excruciating pain surged through me. I felt like the oxygen had suddenly disappeared from my lungs as a lump formed in my throat.

My lip trembled a bit.

My mother's facial expression softened when she saw me standing there with my dismal facial expression.

"Athan, I am so sorry, Son. I am sure if we keep searching we will be able to find her."

I fell to my knees, trying my best to not let the tears cascade down my cheeks.

"Is she dead, Mother?" I asked, my voice cracking at the end of my speech.

"Athanasius, we cannot jump to such extreme conclusions. We will continue to look as long as you want; for the next hundred years if you wish. "

I laughed bitterly. "She would be dead by then."

"We will find her, Brother," Sybil said gently, trying to reassure me.

I just shook my head with a grim expression. I slowly turned around and walked towards the elevator, heading to my room.

When I got there and shut the door, I leaned on the wall. Tears plunging down my cheeks as a broken sob escaped my lips.

I picked up the nearest breakable item and threw it against the opposite wall, the shards of glass shattering onto the floor.

Just like my heart.

Day's Point of View

I laid on the bed, watching my lover as he surveyed the bookshelf in the bedroom, trying to pick one.

He must've felt my eyes on him as he turned around and looked at me quizzically.

"Yes, Day?" He asked, lifting an eyebrow with a smile.

"Nothing." I blushed and giggled.

He then walked over to me and then crawled on the bed over me. He slid his hands up my forearms until they reached my wrists, where he quickly pinned them above my head.

My breathing quickened as his eyes smoldered with desire.

"All that giggling is going to get you into trouble one day," he spoke in a low tone as he winked at me.

He then lowered his head into the crook of my neck where his warm breath fanned across my skin.

He then planted soft kisses across the tender skin and I bit my lip and closed my eyes.

I loved this man so much.
