I was dreading waking up the next morning.
The sun seeped through the curtains as my eyes shot open and realized that there was an arm around my waist and I kinda got startled...
Austin
I woke up to Mack screaming,"Ew ew ew. Ew! Ew."
And she fell on the floor.
Is now the right time to talk about last night?
Nah.
"Is the floor more comfortable than my bed?" I peer over the side of the mattress to find her blushing madly.
"Um um. I- uh-"
"Relax. I'm not going to do anything to y-" and then I remembered last night. Maybe it is a good time to bring it up. "Look, what happened last night was a mistake. I didn't know what came over me. It shouldn't have happened. I'm sorry." I'm now looking down but I don't hear a response for a while. I start to look up just as she tightly embraces me. It felt nice. Wait, no, nope. Don't think like that.
"Don't apologize. I already told you that yesterday."
"But there is someone really to blame," I whispered harshly.
"Don't worry about it. There's nothing we can do about it now, and it will never happen again."
("It" was explained more when Mack talked to Austin, sorry that it isn't that greatly written.)
After a long awkward silence she speaks, "Um... I don't really like talking about it by the way."
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"It's okay..."
More awkward silence. Then she stands up and heads towards the bathroom. When the door closes I sigh, but can't help but notice my phone charger plugged in next to the door with a phone other than mine charging. I go over to it and turn it on. Mack must've borrowed my charger. I let my curiosity get the best of me as I type in 123456 which is of course the lock number. It shows messages and the last one was from him. It looks like she already read it, and the message angers me.
"I know you're still alive. I will never forgive you, so I'll make you regret ever leaving this house. See you soon Mack."
There was a knock on the door. I never expected I'd have to use the metal bat by my door, and I definitely never expected to be covered in her father's blood.
(Well, this took a dark turn. I did not intend for this to happen but this is what my mind thinks of. Let's see where this goes. How did he know where she was? Hm?!?!?! Wait, I'm the author (of the journals) I already know all the answers!)
