Chapter 3: You have got to be Joking

I had woken up. Everything was blurry.

British accent: You think she's alright?

Different British accent: Of course she just fainted from shock

Irish accent: She sure is cute.

I had opened my eyes. I was lying down on a couch and hovering over me was wow I can't believe this but One Direction.

Me: Where am I?

Niall: Harry she's awake. Come here.

Harry walks over.

Harry: How are you feeling?

Me: Is this some prank. Why am I here?

One Direction all look at each other.

Harry: Well I don't know if you watch the news but you see the boys and I are in hiding. There's a big assassination after us in case you haven't heard.

I had heard. I remembered watching a few days ago on Fox News about the bombs set at their concerts and on their tour bus. That's probably why those clown masked creeps were after Harry. But why did he make me go with him?

Me: Oh. Do you guys mind if I call my cousin to have her pick me up.

I searched for my phone. But it was no where in sight.

Harry: About that. You aren't going to be able to communicate with her or anyone else for a while.

Me: What the heck are you talking about.

Liam: You see we thought well Harry thought you were our hit girl.

Me: Uh huh.

Liam: And when he found out you weren't which was right immediately in front of those men attacking you guys.

Me: Yea

Liam: Harry had to take you with otherwise they would have killed you. They think you are our hit girl.

Me: And why would you think I'm your guys' hit girl.

Harry: I was supposed to meet with our hired hit girl tonight in masks at that ball underneath the disco ball. I thought you were her but I guessed wrong.

Me: Okay well do you guys mind if I go now. My cousin is probably worried sick and can I maybe get an autograph as well.

Zayn: She thinks we are kidding.

Me: Kidding about what.

Niall: That you have to hide with us for awhile until the assassination group is caught.

Me: But why. I am not that hit girl. I'm just Alexis. I know nothing.

Louis: But you know enough now. You aren't trusted yet.

Me: What no! Please just let me leave. No one will know.

Okay I was starting to get upset. I could tell these guys were serious. I had began to cry.

Me: I want to go home.

Harry: But the assassination saw you leave with me. If you go home you are only placing yourself and your family and friends in danger. You need to hide with us. I promise you will be safe if you just listen.

Louis: Do you want yourself and your family killed? The assassination group will do anything just to know where we are. They have already killed some of our family and friends.

Me: No

Louis: Okay good. There's no need to cry.

Harry placing his arm around me

Harry: You'll be safe.

Me: Can I at least say goodbye to my cousin.

Boys: No!

Me: Can I at least call her?

Boys: No!

Me: Can I at least write to her lying about where I am and what's going on.

Boys: No!

Me: Can I say goodbye to her in my heart?

Boys: Mmmm... No!

Me: Seriously?

Zayn: Oh we are serious.

Niall: Lets show her room.

I had realized that there were no windows in the house. We must be in the basement of someone's home out in the middle of no where. The middle of No where reminded me of Courage the Cowardly dog.

The boys showed me my room. It was small with a twin size bed. There was an older TV with a VCR connected to it. The bed had a huge teddy bear on it.

Louis: Harry's idea on the teddy bear.

There were no windows here as well.

The boys gesture me to go in. I start sobbing.

Harry: Don't cry I promise everything will be alright.

This couldn't be happening. I always read those fanfic stories of One Direction and dreamed of myself being that girl but now in my case it seemed no fun at all. I had to worry about bad guys trying to kill me and could never see my family and friends until the coast was clear.

Me still sobbing: How long do I have to stay here?

Niall: Well tomorrow we are going to Las Vegas on a private jet so only one day.

Me: No how long do I have to hide?

The boys all look at each other again.

Niall: Probably ten years.

Me: Ten years!

Louis: He's joking. Right Niall.

Louis elbows Niall in the side.

Niall: Ow!! Oh yea I was just kidding.

Harry leans towards me.

Harry: Tomorrow I will take you to before we leave for Vegas to a public phone line to leave a voicemail for your cousin. But you can only tell her the things we tell you to say. And it will be your only call for a week. Is that okay?

Did I have a choice?

I nodded my head.

Liam: Oh and you will need to wear a disguise for that.

Louis: So everything is all set. We better get going to let you sleep Alexis.

Boys: Night Alexis!

Me: Night.

I told them goodnight but I was still crying a little bit. This was no fair.

Niall: If you get scared we can cuddle watching the Little Mermaid together.

Louis: Niall get yo ass over here. Leave the poor girl alone.

Niall: Right. Night sweet cakes.

The boys exit the room.

I couldn't believe what had just happened. It had to just be a freaky dream. Don't worry Alexis you will wake next to your hangover cousin and you will tell her your crazy dream. I hope this is just a dream. I'm a big one direction fan but I don't want to meet one direction like this that's for sure.
