"Maddison! Maddison!" Someone screams from across the hall.

I turn around my blonde hair swinging over my shoulder and I see a girl that is about my height. She looks familiar but I can't tell where from.

"Maddison, I finally found you! We have to work on our project for history together." She smiles at me.

"Oh yeah, I totally forgot to tell you that I am working on it by myself."

"Oh, I thought it was a group project?" She questions.

"She was trying to be nice and say she doesn't want to work with you but I guess you don't get the hint!" My boyfriend Jason says.

I look back at her and she looks hurt. I feel bad sort of but I really don't want to work with her.

"Yeah so get lost and don't ever talk to us again or you will regret it!" Says my supposedly best friend Grace.

To say that my friends are mean would be an understatement, they are like world class douches, but they are always there so I don't really care.

I look back at the girl and she turns and walks away. More like runs away.

"You guys don't need to be mean to her, it was totally my fault that she had to ask."

"Don't stand up for her she was trying to be your friend so that she could be friends with the most popular girl in school." Says Grace.

So what are you trying to do? I wanted to ask Grace but she is right that girl was probably more interested in being my friend than working on a project with me.

"Well I have to go my dad wants me home for something." I lie to them.

"Oh okay see you tomorrow." Says Grace.

"Yeah well by." I say as I walk away.

I walk out of the school and look around and see all my peers around me, some look at me with fear of what I might do, and some look at me with interest wondering if they could ever have a friend like me. I am not a normal girl, my dad is the one of the most influential person in the world. He is the creator and founder of Alexander's Global Trading Company, he is really rich, which makes me very rich.

People spread rumors about me all the time. Once they said that because I didn't like a girl in my chemistry class I had my dad get rid of her. Since then a lot of people are scared of me.

I walk down the steps and start walking home. My parents don't like it when I walk home alone because they say that New York City is very dangerous and that I could get kidnapped or something like that. I don't understand why, I stay to the busy parts and I don't go into ally ways because that is just plaining stupid.

I aimlessly walk around Time Square for a bit. Watching the tourists take pictures and walk into all the shops there is to offer.

After a few minutes, I decide to go to my dad's office because he loves it when I come to visit him. I get to his office building and walk in.

"Hey Amber." I say to the front desk lady.

"Hello Maddison, how are you doing?" She asks.

"I'm doing good, how about you?"

"I'm doing good."

"That's good. Is my dad busy?" I ask her.

"No, I don't think so but if he is he would love to see you." Amber says.

"Okay thank you, have a nice day." I tell her as I walk to the elevator.

I make my way to the top floor where my dad's office is. I get out of the elevator and see that his door is closed. That could mean a number of things, it could mean that he is in a meeting, he could just need the quite, or he could be with my mom. I once made the mistake of not knocking before entering once and lets just say I have knocked ever since.

I knock on the door and hear a "Come in"

As a enter I can tell that my dad is stressed out and not in the mood for anything.

"Hey dad." I say

"Oh hey Maddison, how was school?" He says while rubbing his eyes.

"It was good. How is work?" I say as I walk behind him and start messaging his shoulders.

"Stressful but now that my favorite daughter is here it is all better." He says.

"Dad I'm your only daughter." I laugh at him.

"Well I'm done here for the day how about we go home and have a movie night with your mom?" He asks.

"That sounds great dad! Just what I need!" I proclaim.

Just because my dad is one of the richest people in the world doesn't mean he can't watch a movie with his family. As he is getting his stuff together I walk out of his office and sit down in one of the chairs and close my eyes for a second.

"Ready to go?" My dad asks.

"Yes I am." I say opening my eyes and standing up.

We get home and walk in to a delicious smells in the kitchen. We look at each other and smile, both knowing who it was.

"Aunt Tillia!" I scream as I run into the kitchen where I see her standing over a cake frosting it in yummy looking chocolate icing.

"How's my favorite niece?" She asks me.

"I'm good! How are you?" I ask her back.

"I great! I just wanted to see my brother and his awesome family!" She tells me.

"Hey Tillia how are you?" I hear my dad ask.

"I'm good." She says looking at my dad in a weird way.

"Is everything alright?" I ask them.

"Um yes everything is fine. We just need to talk to you about something." My mom says walking into the room.

"What is it?" I ask looking at them all.

"Honey," my dad says walking over to me, "Me and your mom think th"

"That we should watch a movie with the amazing dinner that your aunt slaved over for the past hour." My aunt interrupted.

I look at her weird but brush it off because that is just how my aunt is.
