Finding Me

Chapter Fifteen

I walked/ ran to Aiden. With him here they can't do anything to me. Unless Aiden is part of this plan too. I don't know why but I had a feeling that he wasn't.

"Hey so what are you guys doing?" Aiden asks.

"We were just figuring that out," James says with a annoyed look on his face.

"Yeah we were, I think that coming to the park was a dumb idea." Kennedi says looking around at all the equipment.

I look at her and she seems like she is happy that Aiden showed up. I think that maybe she doesn't want to do what her brother is doing. Maybe she is forced to do this.

"I say we just go home." I tell them with a fake sad expression on my face, "I am not feeling very well and I am tired."

I look at Aiden and ask, "Do you think you could drive me home?"

"Are you sure you want to go home? I mean your dad is there." He points out.

I sigh and look at him and then realize that I should talk to my dad about James and Kennedi, but I don't want to talk to him right now. I look at him with pleading eyes and he gets the idea about how I don't want to go home but that I should.

"I'll drive you home." Aiden complies.

I say goodbye to James and Kennedi feeling very happy to get away from them.

We walk over to Aiden's car and I hop in the passenger seat.

He starts the car and starts driving away from the park and towards my house.

I was just thinking about how I was going to tell my dad about James and Kennedi when Aiden started talking, "If you don't want to go to your house then I can just take you to mine and you can stay there until you want to go to your house."

"Thanks, I really don't want to go home and face my dad."

We started towards his house.

We stopped in front of a small cute house with a white picket fence around it.

When I thought of what Aiden's house was going to look like I did not expect this. I was expecting maybe a old trashy house with boarded up windows. Not this.

I look at Aiden with shock clearly on my face.

He looks over at me and laughs at my expression, "Not what you were expecting?"

"Nope." I say still with the shock showing on my face.

"Well let's get inside before you die of shock." He tells me laughing deeply.

I love the sound of his laugh. It just makes my whole body vibrate.

We walk into the house and we were met by the aroma of baking sweets. I smelt cookies, cake, brownies, and I think the other smell was apple pie.

I sniff the air with a moan, "This smells so good!"

I look at Aiden and his eyes are wide and a dark shade. There was an emotion in his eyes but I couldn't tell what it was.

He was going to say something when a young woman walked from the kitchen into the entry way.

She looked at Aiden and then to me and smiled, "This must be the girl the Aiden won't stop talking about."

I look at Aiden with a surprise on my face. He talks about me.

Aiden was blushing and his ears were turning a red color, "Thanks Angie."

I look at Angie and she is very pretty with long dark hair with the same eyes as Aiden.

"Well since my brother has no manners what so ever I will introduce myself." Angie glares at her brother, "I am Angie, Aiden's older sister."

I looked at her and anybody could tell that they were related, "Hi I'm Maddison."

"Hi Maddison! Nice to finally meet you." She said giving me a hug.

I felt a little uncomfortable being hugged by a person who I just met. I mean a hug from the sister of the guy I like is a little weird.

"Angie no need to scare her off." Aiden said pulling his sister away from me.

"Sorry it's just," She said wiping fake tears off her face, "I never thought my little brother would get a girlfriend."

I opened my mouth to tell her that we weren't dating but Aiden gives me a look saying that I should not correct her.

"Well, we are going to be in my room." Aiden tells Angie quickly pulling me up the stairs towards his room.

"Okay be safe!" Angie yells up the stairs, "Use condoms!"

I blush red at the last comment. I know that that won't happen but Aiden doesn't know how bad I wish that would be a real warning.

"Sorry for my sister," Aiden apologizes, "She just doesn't know when to be quiet and not to talk."

"No, it's okay. I mean at least she cares." I tell him while I walk around his room looking at all the trophies and posters.

I spot a picture of Aiden as a child with a beautiful woman who I guess is his mother.

"Your mom is beautiful!" I tell him.

"Thanks she was." He says looking at his hands with a far away look.

"Was?" I question.

"She and my dad died about a seven years ago in a fire." He said quietly.

"Oh I am so sorry." I say walking towards him.

"It's okay. It wasn't your fault."

I stand in front of him awkwardly looking down at my feet.

I didn't know what to say after that. I should have kept my mouth shut.

I spared a look up at him and saw that he was looking at me with a look in his eyes.

I looked at his face and saw his eyes flicker to my mouth. Was he going to kiss me?

He started leaning in. He was about a inch away when a shrilling sound came from the room. I jumped and hit him in the head.

"Oww." I whine rubbing my head with my palm.

He took his phone out of his pocket and answered it, "Hello?"

The person on the other side started talking but I couldn't hear anything but the look on Aiden's face could show it all. He did not like the person.

"Who is this." Aiden asks with a demanding voice.

I couldn't hear what the person said but Aiden looked at me with a look of horror on his face.

"What do you mean and who is this!"

I looked at Aiden with a startled look at how his voice changed as he talked to this person.

He just looked at me with a frightened look, his face pale as he spoke again, "Who is this?!?!?"

The person didn't answer and hung up.

Aiden looked at me and asked with shaky voice, "Maddison do you know anybody who would want to hurt you?"

I gasped and looked at him, "Why?"

"Because this person said stay away from Maddi or else you will regret it."

I looked at him and then remembered that James is the only person who calls me Maddi.
