"Maddison! It's time to go to the airport!" I heard my dad yells from the bottom of the stairs.

"Okay! I'll be right down!" I yell back. I have already brought all my stuff down to be loaded into the car so i just stand in my room thinking that I know that I will miss this place.

I walk downstairs and give my mom a big hug, and walk over to my dad and give him a kiss on the cheek. I look over at my aunt and give her a look letting her know that I am ready to leave.

I walk to the car and get in after my aunt. I am excited but I am not so sure that I am making the right decision.

"Maddison, Maddison." My aunt pulls me out of my thoughts.

"Sorry, yes Aunt Tillia?" I reply.

"Just letting you know that we are here." She says as she gets out of the car.

I sigh and get out of the car and walk towards the plane. My dad is letting us use his private jet so that we don't have to be on a plane with people we don't know.

As I sit down I look around and see my aunt talking to the pilot. I decide that I will just rest and relax on this plane ride. I feel my eyes getting heavy at that thought. I close my eyes and fall into a dreamless sleep.

"Maddison time to wake up we are here." My aunt tells me.

"Okay one second," I say as I open my eyes.

I get up and walk off the plane and look around. It looks nothing like New York City here. There are more trees and open spaces than New York. Well this will be my home for as long as I want it to be.

I look at my aunt and she smiles at me, "Welcome to Sleepy Hollow." She says to me.

We walk to the parking lot and she stops at a car that has seen better days. She looks at me and knows that this is not what I am used to, but I am willing to change what I think about the car and the people here if it means that I don't have to pretend anymore.

We get in and she turns the car on and we drive away from the airport.

"Are you hungry?" She asks me as we drive through the small downtown of Sleepy Hollow. I don't know what they were thinking when they named the town because it is anything but sleepy. I see people everywhere and all of them are laughing, smiling and having a good time. This town is the exact opposite than the City. Sure New York City is called the city that never sleeps, but this could also be called that.

My aunt looks over at me and smiles, "Not what you were expecting?"

"No not at all, I thought that Sleepy Hollow would be more, sleepy." I tell her while I look out the window.

"Ya, when I moved here I thought the same thing but it was not what I thought." she tells me, "So are you hungry?" She asks.

"Um, not really. Sorry if you were planning some big dinner when I got here." I look at her.

"No I was actually hoping that you would say that because I just want to go home and sleep." She says.

I look out the window again and think if this is the town then what is the school like? I see a lot of kids my age. All of them look nice and friendly but out of everybody, I should know that looks are not how people act.

I look at a group of girls that walked out of a store and they were all wearing dresses and heels. I look at another group of girls and they are wearing the same. That means that girls here probably look like that at school so that is how I am going to look.

I know that I am going to stand out because I am transferring in a quarter into the year but may as well go in in style.

We reach her house about ten minutes after we left the airport. It is a pretty house with shutters and a those little porches out front. The house is beautiful. The front is well manicured and has many bushes and little trees.

"I love your house it beautiful!" I tell her.

"Thanks it was a gift from your dad." She tells me than has a look on his face that says that she shouldn't have said that.

I don't question her on it because she didn't want me to know.

We walk in and it is just as beautiful as it it outside. It has a beautiful entry with a winding staircase.

I look at my aunt and she gesters me to follow her upstairs and I do. She leads me to a room with a black and white comforter on the bed and a blue throw blanket and black and white throw pillows.

"This will be your room while you stay here, I hope you like it." She looks at me.

"I love it! This room is so beautiful and your house is just the same!" I tell her embracing her in a hug.

"Thank you for that. Now you should get unpacked and settled in because you have school tomorrow." She tells me giving me a hug and leaving the room.

I look around again and put my bags on my bed.

I finish unpacking my bags and look around satisfied. I walk into the bathroom connected to my room and take a shower to wash off all the dirt and grim on my body from traveling.

I get out and change into a boys shirt that comes down to my mid thigh. I climb into bed thinking about what is going to happen tomorrow. Will people like me? Will people see through me? Will I some how still be the person I was back in New York? I fall asleep thinking about all the things that could happen tomorrow.
