Book One: The Life of a TimeLord

CHAPTER ONE: The Doctor

I remember falling. Hurdling through the air as we were fell to our doom. We were in the TARDIS. Something was trying to get us then I crashed the TARDIS and we both fell to the ground. When the blackness was gone from my eyes I looked at her and saw that she was lying on the ground, possibly dead. But that was impossible because she was standing right next to me holding my shoulders as I winced at the pain in my head. This had been going on for a while, I would have a sudden flash back of this moment, then my head would hurt and the memory would fade but it always came back. I had come to think of this image as a dream I once had but Rose was always there to help me bear through it. As far as I knew we were just fine and the TARDIS was still in one piece. I had parked the TARDIS In between an alley so no one would bother it. It was another long night of doing the same old routine. Rose and I had just survived another adventure to another galaxy and another time. It had been three days since we had left last and we felt like celebrating our survival so we went out for fish and chips. I ignored the pain and We walked into a restaurant we had picked out. We we stepped through the doors, I patted my pocket but it seemed I was a little short on money so I showed the employee the slightly psychic paper in hope that I might appear to be a homeless bum and we might get some free food because they felt bad for us. Apparently I was someone of high authority and we got a free meal. We were handed our menus so we ordered. As we were waiting for our food, I asked a question I had been dying to know.

"Rose, do you like traveling with me?" I asked as stirred the straw in my water.

"Of course I do." She looked at me as if I had gone mad.

"Really? You don't get bored of doing the same things over and over again and again?" I raised my one eyebrow.

"Who could get bored!? but,"she paused and thought "sometimes I think that we should go for a drink or something instead of fighting aliens and monsters all day long in way it does get old."

"Well I feel that a drink is just what we need to spice it up." I flashed my smile at her and laughed.

"That's fine with me." She said as she chuckled and gave a tiny grin.

"Fantastic!" I said as I drummed my hands on the table and hopped up.

And with that we left the restaurant and headed for the nearest pub. It was a cold night in London, colder than usual because there was a thin blanket of snow that lay on the ground. Rose had forgotten her jacket in the TARDIS...again. I never thought a human could be so forgetful until I met her. So when I looked over and saw her shivering, I gave her my jacket. She smiled and I smiled back. She looked good in my leather jacket. Then she laughed and said,

"Doctor, don't you plan on drinking tonight, I kinda want to get home without you being drunk and you know that I have no idea how to work the TARDIS."

"Me?!" I exclaimed pretending to be insulted.

"Yes you. I don't know how you act if you drink I've never seen you and I really don't want to find out." She pointed her finger at me as if I were a child.

"Well I will tell you right now you that I don't even know what I do because its been at least a hundred years since I've had alcohol but I don't want you to go and drink either." I said as I laughed and smiled "Do you know what your mother would do if I returned you home drunk as a sailor?"
