Ch.20~ Eleven Years Later

Max's P.O.V.

Taylor and I are now 15 and our friends are 14, but we are all in high school together. Taylor and Emmaline tried out for cheer leading, while the boys and I tried out for football. After our try-outs were over tomorrow we will see if any of us made a team. We all went for a swim to Mako Island, the girls swam there, while the boys and I had to take a boat.

Once we got to Mako Taylor and Emmaline both looked beautiful in the water. Both Tay and Emmy have a beautiful voice when they are singing. "I wish that I could be like the cool kids..."Tay and Emmy started singing and it was amazing.

The next day came and we all went to see if any of us made a team. Taylor got in cheer squad and Emmaline made it as captain of cheer squad. Cody made it as the captain of the football team, Ian is the running back, and I made quarter back.

Once school ended we all went to Ian's mom's cafe. My mom told me to come up on stage and sing with Lexy, so I did. "Ooh girl you're shining, Like a 5th avenue diamond, And they don't make you like they used to, You're never going out of style, Ooh pretty baby, This world might've gone crazy, The way you save me, Who can blame me, When I just wanna make you smile?" I started singing especially when I'm looking at Emmaline.

Emmaline was smiling and dancing. Once I was done singing had asked out Emmaline and I was shocked when she said. I went to go and tell Cody and Ian that I just asked Emmy out.

I saw that they were trying to asked out Lydia and Malia out. Malia said yes to Ian, but Cody has asked almost every girl at school to go out with him except my best friend, since birth.

The boys, Emmy, and I saw Taylor get up on stage and she looked nervous. " I remember life before, Faraway dreams and locking doors, Then you came, then you came, Afraid to fall, to be free, Always mine own worst enemy, Isn't what, what you see, I took time to realize,That I couldn't do it by myself, myself..." she started singing and she was looking at Cody.

Taylor's P.O.V.

Once I was done singing parachute, I went off stage and told Max to play keyboard. Max started to play the keyboard. "I've been wishin' for somethin' missin', To fill this empty space, To show the person behind the curtain, So you'll understand, Who I really am, The me that you don't see, Is praying there's a chance you still believe, Tell me that I'm worth it, I'll prove that I deserve it, And I can be, The me that you don't see..." I started singing and I was looking straight at Cody.

I saw Emmaline telling Cody why I kept looking at him. I looked at Max and told him that I want to sing "You Can Come to Me" and he agreed. "When you're on your own, Drowning alone, And you need a rope that can pull you in, Someone will throw it," I started to sing. Then Max sang," And when you're afraid, That you're gonna break, And you need a way to feel strong again,Someone will know it."

"And even when it hurts the most,Try to have a little hope,That someone's gonna be there when you don't, When you don't, If you wanna cry, I'll be your shoulder, If you wanna laugh, I'll be your smile, If you wanna fly, I will be your sky, Anything you need that's what I'll be, You can come to me," Max and I sang together. Then, I sang," You struggle inside,Losing your mind,Fighting and trying to be yourself, When somebody lets you."

Max sang," Out in the cold, But no where to go, Feeling like no one could understand, Then somebody gets you." Then together we sang,"So take a breath and let it go,And try to have a little hope, 'Cause someone's gonna be there when you don't, When you don't, If you wanna cry, I'll be your shoulder, If you wanna laugh, I'll be your smile, If you wanna fly, I will be your sky, Anything you need, that's what I'll be,You can come to me." Once we were done singing "You Can Come To Me" everyone started to clap.

Cody walked over to me and he seemed very nervous, and I started to twirl my hair. All of I just kissed him and it felt good, then I stopped. He looked at me and kissed me back, then stopped and it was amazing.

"So, do you want to go out this Friday," he said to me. I nodded my head yes, then hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. Emmy says,"You seem very happy, did Cody finally kiss you." I told her that I was the one who kissed him first.

4 Days Later ~ Emmaline's P.O.V.

"I can't believe it's already Friday," Taylor said to me very happily. "We should have a double date," I said to her. She agreed to it, but it will be weird because she has known Max since birth and they've been best friends.

Ian and Malia are officially a couple, but Max and Cody still haven't asked Taylor and me to be their girlfriend. Then, I saw Taylor talking to her best friend and walked right by them, so did Cody.

"I would like to go on a double date and besides it sounds fun," Max said. Cody looked confused, but then he saw Taylor's face and saw that she wants to go on a double date. After school ended all of us and Malia walked to the cafe. Taylor went up on stage with Max and they started singing "Love The Way You Lie" which was Taylor and mine favorite song.

"Just gonna stand there, and watch me burn, But that's alright, because I like the way it hurts, Just gonna stand there and hear me cry, But that's alright, because I love the way you lie, I love the way you lie," Taylor started singing. " I can't tell you, what it really is, I can only tell you what it feels like, And right now there's a steel knife in my windpipe, I can't breathe but I still fight while I can fight, As long as the wrong feels right it's like I'm in flight, High off her love, drunk from her hate, It's like I'm huffing paint and I love her the more I suffer, I suffocate, And right before I'm about to drown, she resuscitates me, She fucking hates me and I love it., "Wait! Where you going?", "I'm leaving you!", "No you ain't. Come back."

We're running right back., Here we go again, It's so insane cause when it's going good, it's going great, I'm Superman with the wind at his back, she's Lois Lane, But when it's bad it's awful, I feel so, ashamed I snapped, Who's that dude?, "I don't even know his name.", I laid hands on her, I'll never, stoop so low again, I guess I don't know my own strength..." Max started singing. Malia says that they are great singers, but she has never heard me singing before. Ian left taking Malia home, while Taylor and I are on our double date.

Once our double date was over, Cody and Max walked us to Taylor's house because I was spending the night at her house. Tonight is a full moon, so her mom is going to show us how to not look at the moon and not let it take control over us. Both Cody and Max had asked Taylor and I to be their girlfriend, and we said yes.
