Ch.22~ Max Is A Merman?

Emmaline's P.O.V.

My friends, my boyfriend, and I are all sophomores now. Max and Tay are 16 while Cody, Ian, and I are 15, but we are always together like our parents. Thanksgiving break is only in 3 days away and I can't wait.

My friends and I are going camping on Mako. Once school ended we all went to Ian's house and the rest of us amazed at how big his house is and why he never brought Tay and I here before. There was a knock on the door and we all saw Malia just standing there, waiting for Ian to invite her in. Once he invited her in she asked why we were all here at his house.

Ian told her why and asked if she can come with, and Taylor and I agreed because Cody and Max have Tay and I going so it will be fair. Taylor and I left Ian's house and went to her house to get our stuff, when we walked in seeing that Reagan has a too.

She looked at us as if she had been seen by her parents, brother, or nephew. We told that we are mermaids too and doesn't need to worry. Taylor said,"Emmy and I will keep your secret, and that we are especially not going to tell Max." She said that second part looking at me with a serious look. This will be the first secret that I can't tell anyone, especially Max.

Taylor and I invited Reagan to our camping trip out on Mako, so she invited her boyfriend. His name is Nick is just a year older than her. Max asked me why his aunt and her boyfriend are here, and I couldn't answer his so I just walked over to Reagan.

I told that I don't know what to do because this is the first time that I'm lying to him. So, Reagan went over to Max and I followed her. She told him that his parents will get worried, especially if it's a full moon and that he's on Mako. He looked at her then told her that he appreciates that she is looking out for him.

Max and I went to the moon pool and he was swimming in the pool. Soon the moon was over the moon pool and we didn't even noticed. The moon soon passed away from the moon pool. I woke up the next morning and saw that I was still by the moon pool, but Max wasn't there so I went for a swim. I was looking at the fish around Mako, but then I saw a blue tail. Then, all of a sudden I see my boyfriend with a tail.

Max's P.O.V.

Emmy was surprised when she saw me with a tail, then we both see another mermaid. Emmaline didn't seem surprised when she saw Reagan with a tail just like hers. Then, Emmy swam off really fast, because she knew something that I didn't.

I was so busy looking at Emmy swimming away that I didn't even noticed that my aunt swam away too. "I can't believe that I just lied to my boyfriend, let him turn into a merman, and I just don't know what to do," Emmaline said crying to Taylor and Reagan.

I walked towards them and asked if I can speak to Emmy alone. So Tay and Reagan left, and I started to talk to her. "Emmaline, I'm not upset that you didn't tell me about Reagan," I said to her.

She looked at me and I wiped her tears, not caring that I'm going to change into a merman. Reagan and Taylor walked towards us and said that Emmy never wanted to keep this a secret from me, but they were glad that she didn't say word. I know that her and Taylor were just protecting Reagan, and I really do appreciate that they were.

Taylor's P.O.V.

I knew that once Max found out about his cousin that he could never accuse Emmy of anything. Even though, Emmy and Max don't know it yet, but Reagan and I both know that they love each other, that they can't even keep a secret from each other. Reagan and I were both glad that Emmaline could actually keep a secret for at 24 hours, but she knew that she had to protect Reagan no matter what happens.
