I was just so into this oneshot I felt that if I sleep I might forget the idea I had.

You were just walking in the park bored out of your mind. Why? Well you didn't want to head home yet.

Your parents were out and wouldn't be back probably until the next day. Your older sibling moved out not long ago, so you didn't want to be alone at home.

Your family was the one who was always going out. Sometimes you felt lonely at home, so you always decided to hang out with (Best Friend's name). But today she was busy making up her missing assignments.

You once thought of getting a pet, so you wouldn't be alone. You even dicusssed it with you parents, they said it was fine as long that it would be well taken care of.

Though your mom hesitated, since she wasn't really good dealing with animals also because they're too much work in her opinion.

You once told to not be surprised if they found a dog or a cat in the house one day if they came back from work. To that you all laughed and your parents nodded.

So as result you couldn't wait to get your pet. But when you always wanted to go and search, something always came up such as doing chores,homework, tests, projects, your parents leaving for an emergency meeting, etc.

Sighing you kept walking and as you were heading out the park, someone yelled. "(Last Name) wait up!"

A smile was brought upon your face, as you recognized the voice. You stopped walking and waited for your crush to catch up.

You turned a bit to face Kiyoshi, trying to hide the small blush you had. " What are you doing here Kiyoshi?"

He smiled. "I was just here with Hyuuga a few moments ago but he had to leave early. Apparently there was a sale for the action figures he loves."

You giggled. " He's a total nerd. I wonder sometimes how am I friends with him." This caused Kiyoshi to laugh and ruffle you hair.

You pouted" Kiyoshi your making me feel short!" He chuckled. "Sorry (Last Name)~"

After walking and talking with each other for several minutes, you both decided to go and look at near buy stores.

While walking you noticed an animal shelter from the corner of your eye and didn't hear Kiyoshi calling you.

"(Last Name)?" He followed your gaze and smiled. He took your hand and you snapped out of your daze.

"K-Kiyoshi?" You were blushing as he held your hand. "Let's go~" you looked at him confused. "Where?"

He pointed to the animal shelter you were staring at a few moments ago. "Y-You don't need to take me there."

He smiled. "It wouldn't hurt to look. " You nodded. After crossing the street, you felt excited. After all, you loved animals. You still couldn't stop internally squealing since, Kiyoshi didn't let go of your hand.

When you both entered an old lady welcomed you both. "Welcome to (Animal Shelter Name ) Aren't you a lovely couple, are you here to adopt a puppy or kitten?" She had a gentle smile on her face.

What she said brought blushes to both of your faces. "W-We're not a couple." Kiyoshi said as he sheepishly scratched his head. "What a shame, people like you two are just meant to be." Once again you blushed even harder.

"Well what are you two looking for today?" Kiyoshi looked at you . "I was wondering if we could look at the puppies."

The lady nodded and lead you inside. Once you three entered the room , barks filled the room. Your eyes went to every corner of the room. Until they landed on a (Favorite Breed) puppy.

Kiyoshi also saw the puppy and how your eyes brightened when looking at it. "Excuse can we see that one" he said as he pointed at the cage.

The lady smiled and nodded. She opened the cage and let you both interact with the puppy. "He's so cute right Kiyoshi!~"

He gazed lovingly at you and blushing you kept playing with the puppy. "What happened to him so he would end up here?" The lady's eyes sadden.

"We found the puppy just a month old in the park inside a box." You gasped. "Why would someone do such a horrible thing."

"People just don't understand the amount of responsibility they have to take when getting a pet, and when they realize they can't handle it they just abandon them." The lady said sadly.

You softly petted the puppy. " I wish I could take you with me." You whispered. Kiyoshi then had an idea, letting go of your hand he stood up and whispered something to the lady to which she nodded.

The old lady faked that she was checking some papers and then gasped in surprise. "Looks like the puppy has been adopted!"

You smile slightly dropped. You were happy the puppy got a home , but you were sad that you couldn't be it's new owner. "That's amazing."

"Let's go (Last Name)." You petted the puppy one last time and stood up following Kiyoshi.

Once you both were about to leave Kiyoshi stopped he scratched his head in embarrassment . "Sorry I need to use the bathroom really quick." You giggled "It's ok. I'll sit and wait here."

You decided to read a magazine and didn't notice Kiyoshi come out. The lady whispered a "Good Luck" to him and he nodded. He quietly went up to you and placed something in your hand.

You looked at the item in your hand. 'A leash?' You thought. You held onto it before feeling a small tug. You looked down and your eyes widen.

The exact same puppy you saw before was barking at you while wagging his tail. "Kiyoshi Wasn't he-" you were beyond confused.

He smiled and took out a clipboard with some papers to fill in. "No way! Are you serious?" He nodded. With the leash still in your hand you gave him a big hug.

"Thanks so much Kiyoshi! You're the best.~ " He blushed. " Y-Your Welcome." You giggled. "Let's sit down and fill out the papers!~"

After a few minutes passed you decided to name the puppy (Dog's Name) and all the papers where now filled in or so you thought. "(L-Last Name) you need to fill this one alone."

You nodded. "O-Ok" you felt really nervous for some reason. When you read what the last paper said your eyes widen.

'(First Name) Will you go out with me?'
○Yes ○ No

You blushed as you bubble in the yes circle. You handed back the clipboard. Kiyoshi's eyes gleamed with happiness and gave you a kiss.

You were caught off guard that you almost let go of the leash. "Y-You know y-you're a big dork you didn't have to do all that."

He chuckled and placed a kiss on your forehead. "But if I didn't I wouldn't get to see the cute expressions you made." Once again he left you blushing like a tomato.

You both headed to the counter and turned in the papers. The lady explained that all the puppy's shots were up to date and also explained about the check ups. You also got stuff for the puppy such as food, name tag, 2 small bowls,etc.

She finally smiled and congratulated you two. You both thanked her and began walking home with your new furry family member.

You both arrived fairly quickly and decided to say something before he left. "T-Teppei?"

He blushed upon you saying his last name. "Something wrong (F-First Name)?" You shook your head and looked down blushing.

"I-I love you." Kiyoshi had a big smile on his face and gave you a hug. "I love you too (First Name)~"

You both then heard a bark, that caused you both to laugh. "Teppei can you stay for a bit?"

He smiled. "Of course." You both then proceeded to go inside and spend the rest of the day together not as friends anymore but as a couple.

Who new a small puppy can make such a big change and unite two people life's.
