Rain was pouring from dark skies of Tokyo. Puddles were forming everywhere. Streets began to fill with water.

"We're expecting around sixteen centimeters of rain today." Bokuto heard the meteorologist say on T.V. while walking home to avoid the storm. "Flooding is expected along with strong wind gusts and lightning. Luckily this isn't America so would we shouldn't expect a tatsumaki." The lady joked. "But please stay inside your homes to stay safe." The owl decided to leave the window he was watching the forecast from and rush home.

Bokuto was now in his second year of college, which meant his best friend, Akaashi, was in college too. Akaashi no longer had to play volleyball in silence. They both went to the same college and played for the volleyball team there. He loved his college. Even now, he is one of the top aces in Japan.

Bokuto arrived at the front door of his apartment and put his umbrella down to search in his pockets for his keys. But he couldn't feel them anywhere. Dammit. The wing spiker looked through his window and saw his keys sitting on the table inside the apartment. He thought about going around and climbing up the fire escape, but the storm started pouding harder onto the earth.

"Fuck! What am I supposed to do now?" Bokuto shouted. He heard the front door of his neighbor's apartment open and he turned around to face him.

"Bokuto-san, shut up. I'm tired. Shouldn't you be inside your house?"

"I'm sorry Akaashi. I locked myself out again. Now I'm stuck in this stupid storm." Bokuto laughed at his neighbor.

"Idiot. Come on, let's go inside." Akaashi said, motioning to his own door. Bokuto followed him into his apartment. He looked around and decided to lay down on the coach. "This is like the fifth time you have locked yourself outside, you know." Akaashi said.

"Yeah, I know. I'm sorry. I can't help it."

"Well the storm is really bad. The landlord isn't going to come help you in this weather." Thunder boomed, startling the two owls.

"How do you never get locked out? You're so responsible, Akaashi."

"I try extra hard since you keep locking yourself out. You're supposed to have a spare hidden outside too." Akaashi scolded Bokuto. I swear Bokuto is like a child. I feel like I'm a mom, Akaashi thought.

"We should live together Akaashi." Bokuto said jokingly. Akaashi felt heat rush to his face.

Idiot, don't joke about stuff like that. You usually have to be dating or married to someone to live with them, right? Plus, I wouldn't be able to function correctly living with you. I'd get distracted. I can't let that happen. Especially since you don't feel the same way.

"W- why?" The black haired boy stuttered.

"Because I always get locked out of my house. That way, I don't have to worry about it anymore." Bokuto laughed. Oh how much Akaashi loved his laugh.

Akaashi just stared at Bokuto, giving him a of disapproval. "Come on! It's a great plan."

"You're plans don't usually work out though." Akaashi pointed out.

"You're supposed to say 'that's a great plan Bokuto!' not discourage me!" The owl yelled. He reached for the remote to turn on the news and pouted.

After about five minutes Akaashi finally said, "that's a great plan Bokuto." Bokuto looked at his kohai.

"Its a bit too late for that!" He yelled and then sighed. "I'm serious though, we should live together." Great. Now I look like a tomato again. Stupid Bokuto. Why are you playing with my feelings like this? I've liked you since my first year of high school. Can't you see that I love you?

"I don't see why. You're living perfectly fine on your own. I can live on my own too. It's not like we're married. We can both pay our own bills. You're making enough money, I'm making enough money. Bokuto there's no point in us living together. I mean we're neighbors already. If you need to come up over sometime, you can. That's obvious." Akaashi started rambling.

"Yeah, but that's not as fun as living with each other. We can do so many fun things together. It's so lonely living alone. I'm being serious about this. Let's live together."

"There isn't enough room for the both of us in these apartments. We would need a bigger apartment." Akaashi said.

"Then that's great, because I have already looked at new apartments for us." Bokuto got and sat next to the smaller owl. Akaashi felt a rush towards his face and he was red again. Akaashi decided to lean of Bokuto's shoulder.

"It's not that easy to move you know. Why do you want to move in with me so anyways? Why don't you move in with Kuroo and Kemna?"

"Because I want to live with you." Bokuto faced Akaashi and looked at him in the eyes. "Plus I think those two are fucking, there's no way they aren't together." They laughed at that. "But really, I like spending time with you, and we hardly get to because of school and yes we have the team, but I mean just the two of us. The only reason we could hang out today was because volleyball practice was canceled because of the stupid storm." And the lights went out.

"Look at what happens when you insult the storm! Ugh, I'll get the flashlights." Akaashi went to the kitchen and somehow found the flashlights, he went back to living and saw that his former captain wasn't in there. He went to my room, didn't he? It is warmer in there. The heat is off since the power went away.

Akaashi rushed to room and saw his best friend laying on his bed wrapped in his blanket. Walking up to see what he was doing, Akaashi was pulled under the blankets.

"What the hell? Let go. Bokuto-san!"

"I don't want to until you say that you want to live with me. You should be happy that I'm letting you use the blanlet anyways. It's cold here now."

"Why do want to live together so bad!? Why don't you move in with some girl you like? It's getting annoying!" Akaashi immediately regretted what he said. "Bokuto-san I'm sorry I -"

"Because I love you dammit! Because I want to be with you all the time! Because I want to take care of you!" Akaashi's face went red.

"I don't need someone to take care of me." Akaashi mumbled.

"Just drop it now." Akaashi leaned on Bokuto again.

"Hey, look at me." They grey owl obeyed. Their faces were only about an inch apart.

Quickly Bokuto closed the gap. I've waited four years for this, The two thought.
