Darry~ "I don't get why you and Pony obsess over these things." Darry whined as you walked up the hill.
"Just wait." You pulled him along. He smiled and followed you. He was tired but he'd do anything to see you smile.
"Wow. It is beautiful." He said staring at it. He was at a lose of words.
"I told you."
"It reminds me of you." He looked at you.
"How?"
"Well, you're beautiful. Everyone waits and comes to see you. You're soft like the pink and purple but radiant and vibrant like the yellow. and orange. And I didn't know how amazing you were till I took the time to look, but when I did you took my breath away and I can't stop looking."
"Aww Darry. You're so sweet." You hug him.
Steve~ "I refuse to waste my time walking up that damn hill just to watch the stupid sunset. It rises and sets everyday. What's the big deal?" He said as he finished up a car.
"The big deal is I asked you to go. Pony always goes with me when I ask."
"Damn kid. Trying to make me look bad. Fine I'll go. But I won't enjoy it." He agrees. You giggle.
"You're lucky you're cute." He groans.
"Well, what do you think?" You asked him as you watched the sunset.
"Its...not...bad."
"It's told you it's worth the time."
"It's might come again with you. But just because I can't let that kid beat me."
"Just admit you like watching it." He just smirked and kissed you.
Sodapop~ "I love you." He said.
"I love you too."
"I'd do anything to prove it."
"Anything?"
"Anything at all. You just name it."
"Come watch the sunset with me tonight."
"Th-the sunset? Like sit there forever and look at the sky? Wanna go watch a movie instead?" You knew Soda hated sitting still but you wanted him to watch it just one time.
"You said anything." You shrugged.
"Fine. Anything for you."
"Ok so I like it. Are you happy?" He asked you as the sun went down.
"I'm always happy when I'm with you."
"When you're happy I'm happy. You don't know how much I love you."

Ponyboy~ "You think he's with us?" Pony asked you.
"Johnny's always with us. Him and Dally both." Ever since Johnny and Dally died Pony watches the sunset everyday. You go with him most of the time.
"I miss them so much." He said.
"I know baby. Me too. But we have to remember them. This is the best way. They'd be proud of you. As Dally said 'Do it for Johnny.'"
"I don't know what'd I'd do without you." He told you.
"You'd do the same thing, keep living and just remember me."
"You can't leave me."
"I don't plan on it."
Two-bit~ "We can't we just watch Mickey ya know?" He groaned with a beer in his hand.
"We watch Mickey everyday. And we'll watch Mickey when we get home. Shut up and wait. It's fixing to start." You forced Two-bit to come with you to watch the sunset.
"You're such a bitch sometimes."
"I know. That's why you love me."
"That's not the only reason." He kissed your neck. Of course he was half drunk.
"Lay off. It's starting." You shoved him.
"We're really gonna watch it? I thought we were gonna have fun." He pouted.
"Two-bit life isn't all about sex."
"When you think about it it kind of is. No sex no babies. No babies no world. No world no life."
"Since when do you think? Look." You pointed at the sky."
"Cool. Why is it changing colors?"
"Because it's setting. I don't know. It just happens."
"Never notice. That's cool."
He watched it the whole time and even went with you more often. Even sober!
Johnny~ "The first time I watched one was with Pony." He told you. Johnny asked you to come watch the sunset with him. You've glanced at them before you never really watched it. You agreed.
"I see why you like them. They're pretty."
"Everyone's different. It's never the same. Each one is its own kind of beautiful."
"Wow. That was deep man. Real deep."
"Thanks. I can go pretty deep." He smirked.
"Johnny Cade. You're losing your innocence." You said shocked.
"Don't ruin the moment." He said seriously.
"Oh. My bad.'' You started watching the sunset again.
Dally~ "Tough guys don't watch sunsets." He groaned.
"And tough guys don't let their girlfriends paint their nails and do their make up either but last night you looked like a drag queen." You spat.
"Shut up."
"Just watch it. Johnny and Pony love them. You will too if you give them a chance."
"Fine whatever."
"So this happens everyday?" He asked.
"Yeah. Except in Alaska. There's a couple months when it's day the whole time I think."
"Sucks to be them."
"Yeah but they have the northern lights so they get a bonus."
"Let's go see them sometime."
"You wanna go see the northern lights?" You looked at him in shock.
"Yeah. We can take Johnny and Pony too. Maybe the whole gang."
"A road trip?"
"Yeah. Over spring break."
"Spring break is next week."
"Let's go."
"Seriously?"
"I'm dead serious! Go pack and I'll tell the gang." He said.
"Alright." You smiled and went and packed.
