I unlock the door and throw my keys on the counter. I walk into the living room and sit down on the couch. GOD, it was such a long day, I feel like lying down. Not sleeping but just lying in bed. Then my phone rings and I check the caller ID, it's Aaron.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Sage, we're outside near this gate."

"Just find a parking spot, don't go into the gates."

"Okay"

"I'll be down there in a bit. Bye"

I hang up, not giving him any time to answer back, and I get up from the couch and walk to the kitchen, grabbing my keys off the counter. I walk out the door and lock it, I walk to the elevator, and it's already on this floor, great. I get in the elevator and press the button for floor 1. I'm kinda scared to meet Aaron and Bailey, I know they were probably really close to my Mom and Dad when I was born, so I guess that should ease me. Aaron does sound like a nice guy on the phone. I just hope he doesn't look like a big, scary dude. I haven't talked to Bailey, so that terrifies me a bit. I just really hope they aren't crazy psychos that wanna murder me.

The door to the elevator opens, and I step out. I walk to the front door of the building and walk into the guest parking lot. I see a man with blue eyes and dark brown hair, who looks like he's in his early 30s. Standing next to him is a woman with blue eyes and blonde hair; she looks like she's in her late 20s. I start to walk over to them, and they notice me walking towards them and start walking towards me as well. We met each other halfway, and they both engulfed me in a hug. "Sage, you have grown to be a beautiful young lady," I heard a soft female voice say. Bailey sounds like a loving person. I was scared for no reason. I pulled away from the hug.

"I'm sorry you had to meet us for the first time under these circumstances," Bailey said, giving me a sympathetic look. "Yeah, I think we should go inside," I said whilst gesturing towards the door. They followed me to the door as I awkwardly opened it for them and held the door open for them. I pushed the button for the elevator.

"What are we gonna do with all my parents' stuff?"

"We're gonna let you decide what you wanna keep and what you would want to throw away," Aaron said with a saddened look on his face. The elevator had come, so I opened the door and let them in first. Once I got in, I pushed the button for floor 3. "What if I don't want to throw any of their stuff away?" I said, continuing the awkward and depressing conversation. "Well, we'll put it in a storage unit," Bailey said with a sympathetic smile. "For now," Aaron said, adding to what Bailey had said.

"What do you mean by 'for now'?"

"You'll have to let go of some of it eventually."

"I know that, but you don't have to be so blunt about it. My parents just died."

"You're right, that was insensitive and uncalled for. I'm sorry, Sage."

"It's okay."
