Emma was a coma the longest, it hadn't taken it's toll completely, but it slowly was. Her memories were falling apart, it was like a picture fading and everyday something went away. The doctors had no clue what was wrong with her, they assumed it was from being trampled. They assumed that she'd lose all memories from the past three years.
It hurt Sasha the most, knowing that Emma wouldn't remember him or anything that's happened. It was sad watching her forget things, and Emma was losing her smile, her shine. He was trying so hard to hold onto that one piece he had left. One day Emma literally looked at him and asked who Brittany was.
He had no clue that she'd forgotten about her best friend, but it was better that she didn't remember how Brittany had died. So Sasha lied to protect Emma, he said that Brittany died of cancer, and she'd gone peacefully. It was one of the biggest lies he's ever told.
Then there was the day she forgot his name... He broke his heart to lose her.
