Chapter Seven-Mumei-

     My eyes fluttered open and a slow whine left my lips as I closed them again, the bright lights making my head ache grow increasingly worse. My stomach was sore and my wrists stung.
     "Momma?" I croaked out, my voice raw and scratchy.
     "I'm right here baby. Your gonna be okay," My mom whispered. I could hear the tears in her voice and frowned reaching out my hand and clutching to hers.

-Jason's Pov-
   A large frown took over my lips as I stood, pulling on clothes. Matt looked up at me with a frown. "What're you doing baby?" He asked.
   "We have to go to the hospital. Mumei...." I mumbled, feeling numb.
   Matt snorted. "Baby don't pretend like you care. We don't have to show up, I mean your old enough to decide if you want to see emo ass or not. "
My face turned into one of rage and turned to him with a glare. "That's it Matt. You need to shut the fuck up now. My brother is laying in a hospital bed right now!"
      Matt fell silent and his eyes dropped, his gaze on the floor. I sighed and rubbed a hand over my face. "Look, I'm sorry. I'm just stressed yeah? I just want to get to the hospital." I said quietly. Matt just nodded and got dressed.
I got my keys, wallet, and phone silently and walked out to my car, my hands trembling. Four words ran through my head. "I could loose him. "
Those words scared the shit out of me. I mean, I can't loose Mumei. I don't know what I would do. I just couldn't get the picture out of my head. My sweet Mumei covered in cuts that his own hands caused. I opened my car door and got in, setting my head on the steering wheel as Matt got in.
"Babe-"
"Matt just... Not right now please." I said as I sat up, running my fingers through my hair with a tired sigh. He pressed his lips in a tight line and crossed his arms. I sighed and started the car.
We pulled into the hospital parking lot almost an hour later, after getting stuck in all the possible traffic areas. I practically ran inside and up to the desk, biting my lip. The woman seemed to know who I was and nodded. "Your mom told me you'd be here, room 420, your boyfriend isn't aloud to go in though. Family only. " she said motioning to a sign.
"Okay thank you, can you just tell him for me?" I asked starting to walk towards the door. She nodded and pressed the button that opened the door.
I walked down the hallways quickly, worry and dread filling me. When I found his room I slowly opened the door and a hand instantly went through my hair. I closed my eyes and turned my head away for a moment from the sight. Mumei was pale and still, a feeding tube stuck down his throat. My mom looked up, tears in her eyes. "They just gave him the feeding tube and knocked him out for a bit. " she said standing, rubbing her temple.
I walked over and sat in a chair next to the bed, taking his hand.
"You know it's Matt's fault right? Jason he's been tormenting Mumei. And since Matt has kept you busy no one knew he wasn't eating or taking his medicine. It's bad Jason. They don't know if he'll ever be fully healthy again. The pills, they did something to the lining of his stomach because he wasn't eating enough so his stomach was already weak. " she said running fingers through her hair. "He thinks you hate him. " she said looking at me.
I listened with dropped my head into my hands. "Matts in the waiting room. I'll talk to him. " I said softly. I got quiet for a minute. "He's been cheating on me. " I said softly, looking up at my mom.
Her eyes filled with rage. "No. First I'm talking to him. Stay with Mumei. I'll be back. " she said calmly leaving the room. I sighed and took one of Mumei's pale, cold, fragile hands. I kissed each knuckle softly and looked up at him with tears in my eyes.

I opened my eyes to whining and someone clutching my arm. I looked up to see Mumei looking at me with panicked eyes.
      "Hey it's okay, relax babe. " I said gently taking his hand and pressing a soft kiss to the knuckles. Mumei flinched at first but slowly relaxed. He reached for me, tears filling his eyes. Like several times before I climbed into the hospital bed and held him close. I gently rubbed the area of his back that was bare due to the hospital gown. I pulled the blanket around him, and held him gently, kissing his head and rubbing my fingers through his hair gently. His eyes fluttered close and he drifted off in my lap. I pressed a kiss to his forehead and held the sleeping boy.
     The door opened and my mom walked in, an angry frown on her face. "Matt left. He said he'd call you later and that I'm a bitch, because a bitch doesn't watch out for her kids. " she said with an angry huff. She looked at me again and then Mumei, a soft sigh leaving her lips.
      "I'm breaking up with him. You aren't a bitch. Besides he's cheating on me and I'm tired of it. " I said with a shrug.
      She bit her lip and sat down, looking at Mumei and I. "Jason, why'd you even attempt in the first place? We both know that's not what's going. You aren't interested in Matt at all, in fact I doubt you ever were. " she said looking at me with a frown.
    I looked away for a minute and stayed silent. "I don't know. I don't want to talk about anymore. " I said quietly. I glanced down at the boy in my arms and sighed softly before pressing a kiss to his head. Well shit.
