Ghost stood above me as I scrounged around for more decent food. A month of being in this house and we're nearly out of edible things. Jake was at the table sorting through what little we had available.
"Any luck babe?" Ricky walked through the kitchen doors with Angelo at his side.
"If you mean luck as in finding the food market at the end of the rainbow- then no. But I did dig up a few cans of fruit and vegetables. We have one loaf of bread and a box of Skittles that Keller donated for the cause."
"We can't risk another trip to town, how are we supposed to survive?" Angelo spoke up.
"Lest we forget, you're lucky that us girls are from Louisiana. Keller's dad used to be a farmer, he would always show her the tricks of the trade." I said.
"Do we have seeds to plant?" Ghost asked.
"I found a few slightly crumbled packets in the corner at the back of the pantry. We'll have to see if we can work our natural human magic on them." Ricky helped me stand back up and I pulled the four old packets from my back pocket.
"Pulling tricks out of those sexy pants now?" Ricky asked a little too loud. He didn't seem to mind though. I blushed and eyed the tile flooring.
"Ahh, finally getting a little PG-16 are we?" Ashley observed as he stepped in. I blushed even more, my face beginning to burn.
"I uh- I have to go talk to Keller and Ash." I made my escape, leaving even Ricky behind. I have no time for things like this, we have a crisis on top of unending chaos. Knocking on Keller's bedroom door, I thought about what Ashley had said. He's such a perv.
"Hey, what's up?" Kell opened the door and motioned for me to enter.
"As much as I absolutely hate to say this; we need to go back to town. Not the entire clan we have here, but a small group. We're running dangerously low on food. With the amount of people we have in this house, there's no possible way to maintain the health we all need- even with these." I tossed the few packets of seeds on the bed. Keller gaped at them. She picked them up and poured out a few seeds.
"They're still good, it looks. But you're right. It'll take weeks for these things to flourish. I'll gather a group of people and we'll head out in a few hours." Ash nodded her head in agreement and walked up to me.
"Let's get our weapons shall we?" We linked arms and stopped at Ricky and I's room. I grabbed my two katana from beside the book shelf and continued to Ash's room.
"You know how dangerous this could be, right?" Ash inquired. Of course I knew.
"Yeah."
"I don't want you or Keller getting hurt. At all. Here-" she unclasped a heart locket from her neck and placed it around mine. "It's a locket that my mom gave me. Keller blessed it and even put a protection spell on it. Nothing bad has ever happened to me directly since I've worn it." A single tear streamed slowly down my cheek. No words could ever describe the love I have for my coven; especially Ash. I dropped the katana to the floor and held on to Ash for dear life. We are all we have left. No one will save us, no one will wake me up from this nightmare. Not all of us will live. I think of Keller's favorite singer, Mitch Lucker. Mere hours before dying, he posted one thing that forever gives me chill, "The dead are living."

"I don't like this idea." Jinxx's eyebrows furrowed as he contemplated the outcome, no doubt.
It's been just over an hour since I'd had my little breakdown with Ash. As of now, we're about to head out. We are making the final decisions of who will go, and who shall stay.
