It's Noah again. Kitty told me to skip most of the summer because we only saw each other twice for all of ten minutes in total. So we are skipping to the end of summer party, get together, hang out thing at Darren's house right before freshman year.

I'm reclined in a pool chair by Darren's pool

I'm reclined in a pool chair by Darren's pool. The sun feels amazing and I know the water is warm. I'm just waiting for Jackson and the girls to get here. I slight breeze blows messing up my overly long hair. I haven't gotten it trimmed for a while so it's a bit long.
Darren is in the chair next to me and Greg is in the one on the other side of him. "Darren, Jackson and the girls are here!" Darren's mom yells into the back yard. "Thanks mom!" Darren yells back. "You two are always yelling," I comment. He shrugs and glances to the door and his jaw drops.
I follow his line of sight and I see exactly what I was hoping for. The girls, especially Kitty, looking drop dead gorgeous in their bikinis from Springfield. I am determined to not let this pool time end like the last.
"Hey!" Kitty yells as she gets to me. I stand up and wrap her in a bear hug, burring my face in her neck. Her hands wrap around my neck, "I missed you." I 'readjust my head' again, "I missed you too." Her quiet squeak of surprise was music to my ears, but I didn't react for her sake.
I barely got to see her this summer. We ran into each at the airport but she was headed to Georgia and I was headed to New York and that was for two minutes before she boarded. I also saw her at a park near our houses, but she was babysitting her neighbor's one year old daughter, Quin, and I was leaving when she got there.
"You two done yet?" Kenna asked being as we hadn't moved for a minute or two. I pull back but I keep an arm around her, "You all saw each other for more than ten minutes over the entire summer. We didn't." Kitty just nods, letting her arm fall to my waist. I tighten my grip around her, lift her, and jump into the pool.
Under the water, Kitty pushes away from me and surfaces. I follow after to receive a slap on the arm, "What the hell Noah?!" She sounds angry but her smile says otherwise. I shrug nonchalantly, letting my hands rest in the pockets of my trunks. She crosses her arms and huffs.
The thing about Kitty when she crosses her arms is she ends up pushing up her boobs. I struggle to keep my eyes where they should be, on her face. My eyes flick up and down a few times before I let my eyes wander lower to her flat stomach and thick hips. The water is about mid thigh high on me so it stops right at her ass.
She snaps in my face, "Hu?" I blink up. She rolls her eyes and pouts, showing off the lips I've wanted to kiss again since the graduation party. "Keep your eyes up here," she demands waving her hand around her face. "My bad," I reply unapologetically.
She shakes her head and reaches up to fix my hair, which has been thrown in random directions. She is quite short so I move closer, closing the distance between us. On her tippy-toes, she runs her hand through my wild hair, brushing it to the back. "I couldn't take you seriously with your hair like that," she lets her hand play in the water at her sides. I shake my head because I love when she plays in my hair.
She's about to reach up again when we get splashed from every direction. I pull her to me and I hide my face in her neck and she does the same. When the water settles, we look up to see everyone in the pool around us. They had jumped in while we were too busy to notice.
"You do realize we're here too right?" Hannah asks moving through the water toward Greg on my left. "Yeah, I don't think they do," Jackson laughs leaning against the edge behind him. Kitty lets her forehead fall onto my chest to hide her face. I put my finger under her chin, pulling it up to see her blushing face. Her lips are a small distance away and I start to lean in. I have the perfect opportunity to kiss her until Darren clears his throat and ruins the moment. I glare at him and he seems to realize why and begins to look apologetic.
"Earth to planet Noah and Kat. Do you want to play Marco Polo?" Gabby asks. We nod and decide that Kitty will go first.
Kitty drops underwater and counts to ten with her hands as we move about the pool. I'm in middle about four feet from Kitty. Everyone else is on the edge. Her head comes up and her long, curly hair falls back, "Marco!" "Polo!" we shout in unison. She dives to my left so I move to my right avoiding her and leading her towards Kenna and Greg.
  "Marco!" "Polo!"
She dives for me again but hits Greg instead. "Oh that's BS! You weren't even coming after me! You were going after Noah but he was in front of me!" Greg complained as he got to the center of the pool.
