The Fault In Our Stars: after story

Chapter 9

Hazel's POV

I wake up the next morning and start getting ready for support group. I can't wait to see Isaac, its been so long.

I look in the mirror once I'm done and notice a tiny baby bump slightly showing with my tight top

I look to my door when my mother walks in "morning mum" I smile

She smiles "morning sweet, you seem very happy" she says surprised.

I smile "I get to see the uncle of my baby so yes I'm happy as I know Isaac is always gonna be there for me" I look at her and smile

She hugs me "I'm glad to hear that hunnie, now then I will go get dressed and then we can go okay?" She asked softly. I smile "yes that sounds good"

~ at support group ~

I sit by Isaac after helping him to the chair. I let my mother go saying I would be okay "how are you?" Isaac asks softly

I smile "I'm getting there, its still hard knowing Gus is gone and that I'm pregnant with his child" I sigh softly and look at my lap

Isaac manages to put his hand on my stomach "I'm always here don't worry" he whispers. I smile and hug him "thank you" I whisper

He smiles and pulls back when the support group starts. We sit all the way through it and talk about Gus, I started to cry at one point and isaac held me

I could feel Gus's hand on my should so I started to become a bit better knowing he was with me.
Once support group had finished I helped isaac up to his mother and then got in my mother's car.

I look at my mother as she puts her hand on my leg "are you okay?" She asked softly. I sigh "yeah..." I whisper.

~ at home ~

Once I get in I can smell food cooking and it smells so good. I go and sit on the sofa in the living room as I think about Augustus and what he would be like as a father. I smile to myself and look up when my dad walks in

He sits next to me and hugs me "I love you hazel, we always have and always will and I know I was mad and upset about the baby at first but now.... I'm very happy" he smiles.

I smile and hugs him "I love you to dad, thank you for coming around" I whisper and stay hugged in.

A while later food was done and we all ate by the table like usual. Once I had finished my food it was kinda late. I said goodnight to my parents and went up to my room

I get into my pyjamas and carefully get into bed turn my lamp off and fall asleep as soon as my head hits my soft pillows
